Question about buying domain during black Friday?

I know registrars have deals for Black Friday/Cyber but a friend of mine said Namecheap's deals while great aren't worth it because you have to be quick as they have a set amount per hour and the deals change throughout the day and then cycle back around so it is more hassle than it is worth.

Is it wise to wait for black Friday or save myself the hassle now :P I am needing to buy my domain asap lol.

I've always wondered why online companies put more emphasis on Black Friday instead of Cyber Monday. There are barely any deals online on Cyber Mondays. They all happen on Black Friday.

I would probably wait until Black Friday to buy your domain. If your friend is right, I could stay up until 11:30pm on Thursday night. Then right at midnight, check the registrar you want to buy from and see what deals they have right as the clock turns to Friday. That way you will see everything before it's gone. If they don't have any deals, then you can just buy your domain at regular price, and you didn't miss out on anything.

You can also wait till Sunday night at 11:30pm and check the registrar right at midnight to see if prices change as the clock turns to Monday. If no deals, then you still didn't lose anything, except time, and you can buy your domain at regular price.

Other than that, I haven't seen any offers for domains for Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

If it's just a single domain, I would go ahead and reg it.

Waiting, and spending time thinking about it to save a few dollars- is a waste of time... which can be better used.

Besides, to reg, there might be a coupon you can use somewhere right now, and get it over and done with.

If it's a not-so-urgent transfer or bulk reg, you can wait I guess.

not to knowledgable about these fri/mon promos.. but generally speaking is there any sort of offers then that involve bulk transfering to another registrar for cheap.. or considerable savings against say the godaddy 8$ DDC renewal fee. thanks.
