Hello everyone,

I always here of private sales here and there, and I don't think I have ever done a private sale to end users.

but we all know, private sale is where the huge money is.

so can those who have experience doing private sale share some tips ?

how do you go about finding suitable end users ?
How many emails do you sent a month ?

Thanks for sharing :tu: :) :xf.love:

Depending on your subject, google can help you find alot of users in the area that may use a better or similar name.

My biggest sale was the person actually contacted me... guessing through whoIS as the site was blank.

Best way to find an end user would be to email quite a few companys until you get a hit.

My biggest end-users sales have been with my 3-letter .coms. If you had JZY.com for instance, I'd search for that on Google and see what comes up. Also, acronymfinder.com is useful for finding out what some acronyms might stand for, making it easier to target your emails (if you are sending them).

.

Mine too, even though I directed them back to sedo to make payment - If the name is really good chances are they will find you one way or another.

I also get contacted by buyers more through Whois info, but in feb for some reason I was contacted about 3 different domain names through NameDrive's "Inquire Link". I think if your focus is on buying and selling domain names, a smart move would be to remove the parked pages, and put for sale pages on those sites. Ive done this for my best name and I get bids every onec in a while. (unfortunately, all too low)

It's really hard to find end users. Most of the time they find you either from the whois or parking page. I don't do much direct marketing any more. I pretty much spend time parking, optimizing, and finding ways to make it easier for that end user to find me. I only really market for short term sale when my cash flow looks short of renewal fees. You also get higher prices when the buyer comes to you rather than when you go to them.

However, if your portfolio is small and you've got the time, it can speed things up quite a bit.
