My first Dubai domain sale

I think this is a good news for Dubai/UAE related domain investors. I have just sold partydubai.com for 500$ (private sale) to a person from the Emirates. So heads up for all those who have invested money in these domains, im quite sure they will pay off in the end. If you have sold a Dubai domain recently, please share it here!

Congrats Tetrapak - Lets hope there's many more to come, I have'nt sold any of my ones yet but I have had at least 6 or 7 offers on them so far, I think within the next 2 years should be good. (he says with optimistic hope !)

My Dubai-Hotels.net one is a nice little earner for a hyphen .net !

I have a few that are slowwwwly being developed !

ahhh that means you guys dont know :D...almost whole of dubai has same IP address all the traffic from here goes thourgh a proxy server hence services like sedo and adsense block dubai ip's dont expect to make make money out of PPC IMHO.

( that is only if you aim to have traffic mainly from dubai)

I would think alot of Dubai name related traffic come from elsewhere around the world from people/tourists/investors looking for info, I have one for instance that has had 266 last month - and yes it is paying PPC at sedo.

So this probably would'nt be too much of a problem for the most part.

Sweet i always had problems with dubai traffic so i stopped aiming at dubai amrket as i am not able to cash in on PPC revenue .

My friend was recently approached for a domain he owns (dirham.com) by a buyer from dubai. Hopefully, he might be able sell it for high $$$ as dirham is the currency of dubai (UAE) and of several other arab countries.

Did any of us that own Duabi names honestly buy them for PPC traffic? Just curious because I considered them an investment for resale, not for PPC although, they do make some PPC.

I also agree with the poster above that mentioned that many visitors are travelors interested in going TO Dubai or the UAE that currently are in or reside in non-UAE/middle east countries.
