.tv Premium vs. non premium .tv names

Ya you guessed it... well it seems the good names on the .tv site are premium and have high overture w/o extension (some have 200k-400k)


Is it worth buying keyword names that most likely won't be premium? or getting dictionary words that most likely would be bought faster by businesses?

ditchdigging.tv would never fetch you anything but
cable.tv on the other hand works well

When considering the cost of a .TV and any other expensive cctlds, you probably want to be sure *you* are prepared to develop the name. Yes, there are names with high Ovt that are shoe-ins, but the majority are BIG ifs.

If you are looking at good tv names with OK Ovt, be sure to have a clear development plan to enhance the value, without that, you'll be blowing a *lot* of money on reg fees with no ROI.

I personally would not reg a .tv without a min of 50K ovt (keyword) and a clear path to develop and monetize.

So be sure to weigh both the popularity of name and your capability to add value to it.

sometimes there is a fine line between premium and non premium
the one .tv that I have kept after owning several has a ovt search count of 490228 and it's considered non premium even though it's a financial related term that is very highly sought after

i developed it a couple of years ago and it gets little traffic but does very very well for the traffic that it does get

it's MortgageCalculator and I have kept it simple and useful, not much there to distract a person

but i'm thinking the dictionary words or cities etc would be bought faster by big companies while a long keyword would have to wait for a seo guy or domain guru to buy you out
