It seems that sometimes when I post about one of my better domains in a public forum, I mysteriously get an unsolicited transfer request on the domain. It's disheartening that this occurs -- what have other people's experiences been in this area? I realize a locked domain should be safe, but the thought of losing a good domain this way still worries me. :|

Shit happens ;)

But frankly, first of all, if the domain is LOCKED you shouldn't receive a transfer request !
Instead the person who solicited the transfer should receive a message that it is not possibel to transfer due to the locked domain.

What you could do is noticing the receiving registrar of the fraudulent attempt, and ask them to take actions.

PS:
a better thread title will give you more response ;)

But first of all make shure that Meum Dominium lockum permantentum !

In another thread regarding a similar issue somebody said "You snooze you loose".
Guess what this means ;)

Maybe you should try to track down the guy/girl or whatever @?#!$/)-* !

Would you mind to post/PMing your registrar and the receiving registrar (should be stated in Mail) ?
