ok- dont want to get anyones saliva running but, i have been in talks with dan rayburn ( http://danrayburn.com )
he runs streamingmedia.com which runs the streaming media conferences:

i approached him via email about having a domain auction during the conference- a videocentric auction
he was VERY open to the idea- liked it very much in fact. we talked through several emails, and the east conference which is may 20-21 was just too soon for us to organize this.
the next one, west, in in sept. in san jose ca.
we are looking to work this into that conference.
now- with all that being said, i am contacting him after the east conference to go further. i never ever get my hopes too high as ANYTHING can happen, but, he was very keen on the idea.
so, hopefully at some point in the next couple of months, there will be progress that i can report, and we can do this
there are two reasons i posted this.
#1- if all goes well, this is just nice news to hear the audience is exactly who we want to reach, and it would be a live auction.
#2- do not take this the wrong way, cuz i say it with LOVE- but let me remind those who might tend to sit day after day on the puter, looking at their .tv portfolio, and wonder when something is gonna happen. you are gonna end up sitting there, and wondering.
.tv is happening. and i personally am ACTING on it. you need to move your buns, make contacts, send emails, present ideas- make the earth move for YOU. it is not gonna happen while you are sloshing coffee on the keyboard, groaning about this and that. whilst (a millers word) there are issues we may have that are legit, i think there is far too many who buy and sit.
unless you own candy.com or sex.tv, you cant buy and sit on names. understand? you gotta do stuff. ideas, they may not always work, and i always state that in my own idea posts. but, i am doing something because i believe in santa claus-
let me say this before i get some retarded post in here- i do NOT do what i do to make .tv happen, i do it because .tv IS happening. i want to make that clear before the inevitable happens.
so, anyway, i will keep you updated as i talk more with dan after the east conference.
