Best thing to get a hang of what sells regularly if you plan to buy/sell regularly.
Domain names are usually a long hold with a small percentage of an investors portfolio selling annually.
Watch the amount of bids on NameJet and GoDaddy Auctions to get an idea which names you could sell easily.
Read DNJournal.com for prices.
Some plurals make sense others are a waste of money.
Anyone here has bought some names they think back and wonder why they did, think of it as the cost of learning about the industry.
Put a sale page on the domains you don't dev so you can give potential buyers a chance to contact you and so you can see if there is any other interest.
