I just bought the three letter dotname word:

YEW.name
A Yew is a tree, one of the few native British evergreens (Box, Juniper, Holly and Scots Pine are the others).

I know the dotname extension is not the greatest in value, but I am wondering whether it was worth the registration fee...

Thats weird, never ever heard of it, and I looked it up in our dictionary, and I found a Norwegian word for it too, but I dident know what it was until I read what you wrote here!. hehe. I see theres actually 5.2 million google results for the "word", which means there are actually a few that has heard about it. hehe.

As you said, .info hurts the value, however, if this is a tree as stated, the name fits the extention well, IMO. I would set up a small site with info/pictures of the yew, not sure if there's anything special about it but.

There are apperantly several meanings to the word "Yew".
Check Wiki!.

For what it's worth i'd say low/mid xx for this one, if you find the right buyer.

Good luck,
Andree

Can't see it worth more than reg fee, the .name extention is the crappiest extention out there
