PLEASE Any tips on improving traffic?

I've been reading up a lot on SEOs, etc... and most say basically the same thing, have header, description, keyword (sometimes they help), body, etc..., however I don't know if I should have links on my site because I feel the quality of my site may go down.

Any honest opinions/feedback here? Willing to hear constructive criticism. At times it gets really depressing that on a tight budget, how else can I improve?

Links on your website are good, but only if they are small numbers and to ONLY highly relevant websites. Its important to get incoming links from relevant sites also. And keep your website updated often and overtime you should see traffic increase.

There is a better chance for the search engines to fetch a press release from an established wire website than the pages of a newly indexed site. Once a press release is picked up, it would pre-sell your site to the user, who would click on your link if he's satisfied with what he read.

Is this an SEO tactic?

Probably not a direct one, but press releases do work in increasing the volume of traffic to your site, based on my experience at least.

press release's and articles are common SEO techniques, they generate relevent one way links also. Best of all they are generally free if you write the article/release.

You dont need to worry about links on your web site only if you link to a FFA or a banned site.

Another point to make here is not to link to direct competitors. A good guide is to ignore the SEO side of things, and just link to sites you deem useful for users (requesting a reciprocal link too) of your site.

As long as links are relevant, they will be useful.

Do not be afraid to link to other sites without them providing recip. links! A lot of people seem to think that by doing this you're wasting PR, but by generating useful and relevant links you're going to be recognised as a useful source by Google especially.

Obviously, it's good to get inbound links to, I think links from close rivals would help too, to be honest.

Basic rule of thumb - if you belive that you truly deserve to receive lots of traffic, you probably will!

Meta tags, keywords, title bars and links are all important. Relevant links get you higher in Google, the so-called king of the search engine game. Go to www.easyseo.com for more info and a good tutorial.
