Planning to sell my first domain. When and how should I do it?

Hello everybody. I'm planning to sell a domain that I hand registered and turned into a blog, but I am unsure of where the best place would be. I am not sure if Sedo or other sites like that would be a good idea, since they charge a minimum of $50 if I'm not mistaken, and I don't think I will be selling my domain for much more than that. What would the best way be to go about selling this? Also, should I take down the blog before offering it up for sale? Or would it be best to leave it how it is now? Thanks.

Edit: I meant to put "where" on the title, but it also brought up another question. I registered it about a week ago, so would it be a good idea to wait longer before I sell it?

since you don't even think your domain would sell for more than $50, then i would say

keep the blog up and keep adding content to it

add some adsense if you haven't already and since the blog is about headphones, then sign-up with some affiliates who offer those and other related products and add that too.

maybe you can make a few bucks and keep the blog and domain, while adding value to your site

imo...

Thank you very much for the suggestion. I do already have adsense up, and some amazon affiliate marketing, but the problem is that I do not get much traffic. My website is listed on page 1 of google when searching for "headphone output", but it does not seem to be helping the traffic very much. Does that fact that my website has only been up for a little longer than a week have anything to do with it? Will I see more daily traffic as time goes on?

a week is not enough time to judge anything, let alone a website

wait a few months

I totally agree, I had to wait nearly 3 years for one of my domains/websites to start getting good numbers of traffic, as anyone on here will tell you there is no easy way or right way to domaing it takes time and a lot of trail and error, what works for one person doesn't work for the next. Sure there are basic rules to what works but YOU need to knuckle down and find the right system for you

Leave the site a few months and keep building, then change a few things and leave for another couple of months eventually you will stumble on something that works and works well.

Good luck with the domain and the site

Brad

Well, as I know Namepros, Sedo and eBay are good places to buy and sell domains.
