Well thats' eye opening - surely would have imagined that well matched name/ext holding onto its' earlier value or increasing or, at the very least holding steady or possibly dipping in value by a small percentage not by that massive drop in value.

Assuming that the $20,000 sale was to an end user and the $1,700 was a wholesaler, I think the value of Pilot.tv has held up quite well.

There were a lot of one word . TV in auction some even better that didn't sell as high

I took it, at the end the owner let it drop.
I think the problem with this Dyna auctions, like others, is that you must pay before knowing if it will really drop. So for example in this, I wouldn't have gone too far with the bid because I don't like to block, i.e., 5K to discover 3 days later that the domain has been renewed.
