Phrase domain?

Is it a good idea to buy phrase domains e.g.
www.keyword-keyword-keyword3.com?

Do these generally get better listing if people search for those 3 words together, or do search engines only look at the best content within the site?

Also i have everywhere that 3 letter domains are taken does that mean that all 3 character domains with numbers as well are taken e.g. 12B.com?

Yeah, three CHARACTER domains in .com and .net are taken.

if there was a domain: buycomputer.com, and 2nd one is buy-computer.com,
Which one would get better listing in search engines for the keyword: buy computer
