SOLD

The site
Photoshopgurus.com is 11 year old, which I assume makes it one of the oldest Photoshop sites on the internet. The previous owner ran the site between 1996-2006 after which I took over. I sell the site because of lack of time.
Be aware that the site was orginally named www.photohsopgurus.info. It was only about 5 years ago that the original owner was able to buy the .com domain.

The buyer will recieve:
• Domain: PR4 www.photoshopgurus.com
• Complete content of site, including forum that has 2,300 members and 40,000+ posts
• Source files, like PDFs, Photoshop files, scripts, etc.

Traffic
Traffic is growing:

Jan 2007 12,454 17,198
Feb 2007 11,190 16,430
Mar 2007 14,645 21,401
Apr 2007 14,529 21,698
May 2007 21,415 29,945
Jun 2007 22,661 31,394
Jul 2007 21,209 30,729
Aug 2007 20,262 31,085
Sep 2007 30,014 42,917
Oct 2007 9421 13,718

First column is number of unique visitors per month, second column total traffic for that month. Traffic is especially good the last 2 weeks or so, probably because of some featured tutorial(s).

------- Added on October 8: more detailed statistics ----------

-------------------------------------------------------------

Traffic from Google is about 9,000 visitors/month. The site is search engine optimized for keywords “photoshop”, “tutorial(s)” and “forum”.
Our forum is ranked #4 when people type in Google: photoshop forum.

Most of the 34 tutorials have not been submitted yet to all the major tutorial sites out there. Thumbnails of each tutorial with sizes 40x40, 45x45 and 50x50 are available to submit these tutorials. Submitting these tutorials should lead to a substantial increase in traffic (think hundreds of visitors per day) in both short and long term.
Buyers can get a list of 30+ medium to large tutorial sites that they can submit to if they’re interested.

Revenue
Previous owner had Adsense on it, so it should be possible to add it again. If in doubt, ask Google.
I never used Adsense, but used the site mainly to experiment with different advertising systems. The income with Adsense should be around $100-$150.

Hosting
You need to have a Linux host that has 1GB free hard drive space, about 10GB/month bandwidth available and 2 MySQL databases (for forum and search script)

Design
The site's design is based on CSS and Dreamweaver templates, is compatible with IE6/7, Firefox ½ and Opera 8/9 and validates in W3C.

Potential buyers who have questions or bids should contact me at E-mail address on this page:

http://www.photoshopgurus.com/about/about.html#contact

Don’t use this forum for questions or biddings, I will only communicate by E-mail.

Bidding starts at US $1,000 and will end on Sunday October 14th

EDIT Oct. 8: bidding has to be done in steps of $100.
EDIT Oct. 8: more detailed statistics added
EDIT Oct 10: added reply to a question, because suddenly I can't reply for some strange reason (later removed, after it worked again).
EDIT Oct 14: Added text "SOLD"

Like I wrote earlier, please only contact me by E-mail. Thank you. But I'll make an exception and answer your question: no, it's not banned by Google Adsense and Google can confirm this.

I made a change to my first post; bidding has to be done in steps of $100.
Every new bid will added to this post.

I've also added a link to a recent Awstats screenshot.

Thank you.

I didn't say that it was .info for 11 years, I said it was originally named photohopgurus.info, didn't know however that this wasn't the first name, always assumed it was.

When you go to this page you clearly get an indication what happened:

http://web.archive.org/web/20020215130754/http://photoshopgurus.info/

"ALERT! My URL is changing!
I've recently registered a permanent domain name folks. So please _RE-BOOKMARK THIS SITE_ around February 14, 2002, and anytime after that. "

So obviously he ran it previously on some free host or an ISP server, which is not uncommon.

But trust me, the site is 11 years old. The previous owner also states this on his portfolio site. Any serious potential buyers can get that link. I'm also pretty sure that long-time internet users with interest in Photoshop can confirm that this site is much older than 5 years.

EDIT: sorry for the duplicate posts. I tried 3 times this day to reply (more than 24 hours after my last reply), but nothing showed up, came back 4 hours later and suddenly I had 3 posts... strange.

And I request for the third and last time: E-mail me if you have questions, please respect this. I made 2 exceptions, but from now on I will only reply by mail.

Understand that I don't often have the time or opportunity to visit forums and especially not dealing with problems like today, when I couldn't post, had to edit 3 posts, contact moderators and explain to you guys why I had all those duplicate posts or to reply to questions of people in this thread who are not at all interested in buying.

Thank you for your understanding.
