PayPal Disabled Masspay feature for my account. Am I Too LUCK?

I got a mail from Paypal this morning to inform me that the Masspay feature for my account is Disabled.

They don't explain why they take this action for my account, but only simply explain Masspay should be used for what...

I understand that sometimes I send masspay to single buyer when I buy domains, as required by the seller. I did this about 6 - 8 times per year and I have worked with my paypal account for 7 years without any problem...

I don't know I am TOO LUCK to catch Paypal's eyes for this, or they changed their atitute for this and take actions for all account have the same issue?

However, plz be very carefull now if the seller ask for Paypal masspay...

Good luck for you:wave:

Often times, email such as these are fake (considered spoof by eBay and Paypal) and used for the sole purpose of getting recipients to click the links within the email, which brings them to a similar looking page for login, all while scammers (who are typically the sender of the email) obtain your private info.

I believe Paypal is still owned by eBay, and therefore, still have their same report system for these types of email to confirm if they are legit or fake. I would suggest you ensure you not click any link in the email, but rather, first forward the email exactly as it is to: [email protected] and, for good measure, [email protected] and let them confirm if it is legit.

Secondly, log directly into your account, not by way of any email link, but rather, typing paypal.com into your web browser and logging in directly. If there truly is a problem with your masspay or any part of your account, which I suspect there is not, but if there is, you will probably show some sort of message or notification within your account.

If you are still unsure, simply contact Paypal Customer Support via phone or their online support to confirm. If you have already logged in by way of the email link, I would recommend you log in direct to the site and change your password and security information, just to be safe.

Thanks RevolutionaryDomains!

However, I am sadly confirmed that this is not a SPAM or Fishing mail. It is really come from Paypal and the Masspay feature for my account is disabled (I checked this by login my Paypal account).

And few domainers I know from my local society have the same already in past few days.

Sorry to read you have found the email is real. I receive this type of email claiming the very same thing, but have yet to find Paypal tell me they are real.

I would still recommend you contact Paypal Customer Support via phone (if you haven't already) to find out exactly what the real issue is with the Masspay function of your account, and how to resolve it. Additionally, never log in using any of those email links. Always log in direct from Paypal.com, IMO. Best of luck.

Uh shit, I was worried about this happening soon...

Paypal is not making any money (well a dollar LOL) on domainers that are sending payments via masspay.

I use masspay at least twice a week and even request my buyers to do the same (often they do).

HC, just wondering, is giftpay still working for you??

Dear Toni,
Actually my giftpay function was closed much earlier than this without any notice.

I am doubt that Paypal do all of this specially for members from some countries. I am from China and at least 10 domainers from China lost Masspay feature for their Paypal account in past 10 days, as limited information as I know...

And now I just checked my incoming transactions of the last days in paypal and yesterday I had a supposingly masspay transaction deducting me -$82,20 USD :( That's too much money!

I think that Masspay will not be a suitable choice for most domainers soon

It seems official that paypal is now charging 2% on masspay transactions: http://domainingtips.com/paypal-masspay-payments.html

None of my buyers payed me via masspay in the last 2 weeks :(

Non-US Domainers, what are you using now?

Does Giftpay from the US to international still work?

I don't buy a lot of domains off the boards, but the few times a seller wanted masspay, I asked if I could add the usual paypal fees instead. so far the sellers have agreed.

I do that so my paypal account won't be dinged.
