PayPal fees with MassPay....I'm confused

Who does know how much is going to cost me to receive a payment from the USA in my Australian PayPal account?

Moniker says only $1 (by MassPay) while PayPal today told me 2.4 % + something since it's cross-currency....but I told them that I have a secondary balance in USD in my PayPal ....yet the girl was not too sure in my opinion and could not understand my accent too well.

edit: actually: Australia 3.4% + Fixed Fee ???

Thanks

I read the policy and it looks like you need make this a personal transition not for goods and services. Also you need to fund the transaction with ac account balance. Cash in either the paypal account or in the backup checking account. The additional fees are added when using a debit or credit card to fund the transaction.

So do the following:

A) Choose make payment tab and choose persoanl transaction (not for goods or services
B) Pay with cash balance in checking or paypal account.

Hope this helps. The cross border thing should go awaqy once you use a cash balance to pay.

EDIT***

I'm wrong ....

The comercial cross boarder option is free if there is no currency exchange.
But I can't tell about the fixed fee. You want me to call them I will.

When sending masspay, the sender pays the fees.

This does not take into account a currency exchange fee, if any.

yeah if you or someone else can call PayPal, maybe the American accent will be easier for native Americans.

Cheers

I'm on the phone with them now .....lol .... they are a joke. No one there can speak English.

Transferred to supervisor ......
Transfered to "Fees" dept for expert ......?
Transfered to Australian payments ...... ?

Unreal ..... They can not answer the question.

PP: "Well sir, You can see what I see on the screen"
ME: "Yes but You are the expert and I can't figure it out"
PP: "I'm having a hard time understanding you sir..."
Me: "Understanding me? my perfect English or the context of the question?"
PP: "Well sir you'll need to have your Friends email us and we will translate his language."
Me" "So you can't just answer the question about a fee structure?"
PP: "I answered Sir" ..... [email protected]

From what I could get out of the 4 experts was that it will end up costing 1% if a cash balance is used and 3.4% + .30$ if CC is used.
($0 - $5000)

I'll try again later and maybe I'll get an American that speaks English to help me. The rep became upset that I asked specifically for an English speaking representative.

if wearing masspay usually charged only $ 1 for transactions in USD .. but if exchanged into other currencies will be charged again because of currency exchange differences .. and not too frequent use of personal payment because it will cause your account has restrictions ..
