The numbers for Friday, were actually above the previous Friday. Those are finalized numbers, just the estimates.

Friday was great - even with a porn clickie crowd my RPM was $154.21!

If you are not parking with parked.com - you are not parking. Especially those of you with .ca's! :tu:

luffo -1 click vs 2 click is definitely an art not a science. First it depends on what country you are in. Then it depends on what the keyword is. Then how many advertisers. It depends on the quality of the domain. And it depends on the volume the domain brings in. Once you combine all of these things together, Yahoo decides if your domain will be a 1 click or 2 click. Some people here could probably tell you how to buy a 1 click domain very easily. Unfortunately I really can't as I know a 1 click will make less in the long run than a 2 click domain. But that's for another day.

I am able to input keywords now, musta been a temporary glitch, another problem I seem to be having is the actual updates are exactly the same payouts as estimates, which most days is frustrating because it seems like days i get clicks on names that ordinarly make .50-1.00 that the update stays the same at .13 rather than increasing the total. anyone else have similar results?

fatter - The estimates are based on a few things, but mostly it's the past 5 days of history for that particular domain. So if you averaged 30 cents per day the past 5 days on a particular domain your estimate should be very close to the that average for today. If it is a brand new domain or it has less than 5 days of history in the past 5 days, then we will use a few different defaults. Our goal is to also be 1-2 cents higher or lower on the estimates after a few days.

But that's based on the keywords that have been on he domain for the past 5 days.

....depends on what country you are in..... domainer's country or visitor's country?
....I know a 1 click will make less in the long run than a 2 click domain.... why is this so?

Thanks donny, I just thought it a little strange that estimates were exactly the same as final numbers even the exact per click rate, but I just switched some names back and have only been using parked again for about 5 or 6 days.I imagine it was the default that you spoke of.

Can I do something against 404s?

Do Parked offer the service to optimize pages? For example for domains like ake7.com where no keyword can be found?

Greetings!
Sebastian

Sebastian,
ake7.com is showing ak47 for me.

Yes I know... :) Didnt know selling that is a allowed use of parking... ;)

d9m.info as a better example. Dim is the keyword that was found. I dont know if someone that comes to that site would click on one of the keywords. But maybe its the best word. If there would be to many generic gambling-sites it would be too much... Dont know...

Dont know... Greetings!

Is it ever going to be possible to see what all these 404s are about? Over the past few days I've been seeing a steady stream of them over one group of domains, and it's got me somewhat curious. I seem to only be getting 404s on them, maybe because I just moved them back to Parked from Fabulous.

Sebastian - Obviously you can edit your own keywords on a domain, which is very easy to do. The other option would be to talk to your account manager about optimizing the domain for you, but something like d9m.info, unless it has traffic will be hard to optimize.

netmeg - Yes, it's been a little more complicated than we had originally expected. Ok, a lot more complicated. Your account manager can tell you which domains are getting the 404's for you very easily.

Oh I know which domains are getting them; they show up as 0 visits in my daily stats - I'm just trying to figure out *why* or where they're coming from.

netmeg - here's the problem. Googlebot-Image/1.0

It's been fixed.

Hunh, how weird. Well, thanks!

Seemed to be looking for some broken images. We don't really track which ones, but every 404 from today was with that UA.

What is the Current Click rate on parked for your domains?I've been using sedo for parking domains and they give €0.02 per click .

Sounds like a better service than Sedo. If I had a traffic domain I would rather develop it instead of parking it. You would definitely earn a lot more and your domain would be worth more too. Yes, it takes a little more work but it's worth it!
