I now parked some of my names @ parked.com, and the revenue is much higher than @ SEDO.

I just signed up for Parked and dropped almost 20 domains into it 2 days ago. I'll let you all know how it goes. Revenue seems to be doing well in only 2 days >.>

Revenue is going to be much higher than ANYWHERE! ;)

After all the fanfare died down, Parked did not deliver for me and the 650 domains that I moved there temporarily. I moved them back to Sedo two weeks later and after a bit of optimization I was able to increase my revenue at Sedo substantially. If you want to experiment and are willing to risk losing revenue, try Parked and decide what's best for you. When spoken against, Donny becomes ironic and insulting. Another reason why I prefer Sedo: they diffuse arguments by being attentive and polite & fix issues.

Beware of these that praise Parked and offer...affiliate codes for Parked.

I was wondering when Acroplex would post. I have said on many occasions that not all domain portfolios work with one company. Some domains require a 1 click lander because of what they are and because I can't guarantee all domains will have a 1 click lander you have to use a AFD feed from Google which is Namedrive, Sedo, RevenueDirect, streamic, fabulous, and I'm sure I am missing some others as well. Every person has to decide which company(s) is best for them based on many factors. Sedo worked better for Acroplex, and that's great. I personally have some traffic going to Sedo until next Tuesday myself for testing purposes.

I don't know who runs http://www.parkfight.com/, but they currently say that we pay the most of all of the parking companies. But again that is for their portfolio and for that time period. Every portfolio will be different.

Donny, if you're suggesting that I am the only one who had negative results with Parked, you're attempting to perpetuate the same myth that lasted 22 pages at DNF, where many people agreed with my findings. The truth is, you deserved the backlash from that thread - including your sockpuppet minion, Kelly Pitts - and the attitude you display towards these that tried Parked and had poor results. I suggest that you improve not only the service you offer at Parked but also your personal manners as well.

IMHO

Not all parking are created equal.

I've got some domains across other PPC but north american and european traffics are all fine with me using parked service. I will list the major one here to prove my point. Don't take it as self advertisement because I know you guys know this business already.

Parked - I've got the following names doing well e.g. DCweb.com, DrComfort.com, Life.NU, etc.

TrafficClub - got some names work well e.g. Randompage.com, etc

Namedrive - this is a good example of domain that doesn't work in other ppc but well in name drive .e.g xanado.com and other asian domains.

DomainSponsors - my financial domains whose traffic coming from asia.

I stop using sedo years ago so I can't provide a good example for them.

This is just a good example that you need to manage your domains to maximize your revenue. This is not park it and forget it approach.

Hope this help other investors.

Good to see you here acroplex.

Regards,
em

Acroplex - I'm not saying you are the only person who has had a negative impact when they move domains to Parked, I think I said that in my last point in a round about way. I have close to a thousand domains that I move from parking company to parking company to compare the results to our own system to see if somebody is making more money than we can make ourselves. And there are times when we make less and when that happens we try to see if we can make some improvements/changes to our system.

You can ask around on many occasions I have told people that money is money, that if we can't monetize a domain better than x so move it back. There is no reason for me to try and BS anybody.

I really do wish you luck with Sedo, they have a good program and the company is run by some good people. I had planned on going to the Sedo Partner Forum right before the Targeted Traffic conference, but I had to cancel today because of a meeting.

If I didn't say it before I am sorry that you and Doc Com didn't get the same results that others are getting or that you were expecting.

This thread is whether Parked offers what they claim they do. My personal experience and that of others - sorry Donny, Doc Com was not the only one that had no results with Parked, he was probably the one that dared raise his voice as much as I did - is that Parked does not deliver as they claim they do. And that's what matters when us domain owners send our traffic to parking companies.

Not sure if anyone can help me with this:

one of my domains at parked.com is getting 100% chinese traffic with 54.55% CTR. I'm almost certain that this CTR could actually be higher if the lander would be served based on language analysis. If traffic comes in from Germany, make it German, if it comes from Japan, make it Japanese language landers.

Does parked have this feature and i just happened to miss it?

If not, would this be something to look into? I'm relatively certain that everyones CTR would improve if the sites would be served in the user's native language....

Donny, your take on that?

Well, I see that some of my parked sites are in Dutch.

For example -> http://u2eb.com/

Is it also in Dutch when you look at the site?

Maybe I can share.

Parked feed is provided by Yahoo, they only allow North America and Europe. Asian traffics is not allowed though you have the option to redirect them from other domain.

Ofcourse Donny will confirm this.

Nope, it's actually English for me.

Ok, interestingly enough, my 100% chinese traffic domain is actually showing revenue. Not sure how to understand this then...
Thanks for sharing, though.

Is this revenue that is showing going to stay? I mean is revenue data instant?

I have RPC 0.26 at the moment for like 50 clicks.

Or it will update tomorrow like namedrive?

If it has an asterisk beside it - it still has to update.

Let me clarify our international support. Our Yahoo feed works with all of the countries and in most cases their native language.

Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, U.K., and U.S.

In some cases when we have found Yahoo's native language support is not as great as it should be, so we have our own system that we can use internally to make a country use our system not what Yahoo recommends.

Now anything that goes to our secondary provider is another story. We completely handle what shows on those domains. Right now if somebody goes to cameras.com from China they will probably see English results, because we haven't found any Chinese results that work. But if you go to cameras.com from say Puerto Rico, you might see the results in Spanish.

Hope this makes sense.

Makes perfect sense and is definitely a step in the right direction. Are there any plans to add more countries? Selfishly i'd have to point towards China, but Scandinavian countries as well as Poland, Russia, etc. would that be beneficial and eventually on the horizon someday?
It would open up an entirely new avenue that i'd be thinking about. Eventually, even though i'm not a big fan of it, IDN domains would start making sense then?
Just thinking out loud... ;)

First RPC was 0.26, and after update 0.11 - which is about the same as others pay for this name.

And CTR is MUCH lower then on other provider.

Has big plans about it, now will have to find something else.
