netmeg - PHPScripts.com was developed at one time, it was my personal blog about how the PHP and MySQL worlds sucked and how they could be so much better. It was great for about a year or so and then I went on vacation and I never blogged again.

evilopinions - Dubai isn't banned from our system, just a particular ip address. If you have the ip address I can look to see what the problem is and maybe unblock that ip. We do support IDN's and have about 50 IDN's in our system today, unfortunately we just can't add any additional ones right now. Linking via parked pages to another parked page that you own, I don't really have a problem with it as long as it's only to the domain name itself.

JeffOverman - I wish I could say that I had a great time on my cruise, it was fun, but my vacation was coming back to work. We had 25 people on the cruise with us so there was so much going on. I hope your investment in .mobi turns out to be better than my opinion of .mobi. I just have this feeling that one day soon the bubble will burst and people will be really disappointed. Then again I have been wrong once before.

The TQ score is very important, but the most important thing is to give people what they are looking for. As long as you do that, I personally wouldn't worry. Good targetted traffic is the most important thing you can have.

Domains that don't have traffic do not affect your score, it's all based on the number of clicks. So even if you have a domain that gets 10,000 hits a day and 0 clicks, it won't affect your score at all.

I'm assuming on tag words you are talking about Meta Tags. You can put as many as you want or as many as the form allows.

I wish I still had a Bodis account they terminated my account, that sucks!

Yea, they terminated me too, but I moved 'em over to Parked. Which reminds me, Donny, I PM'd you about a problem I'm seeing on some of the domains I moved over - the links in the Related Bar don't look right in Firefox, they're flush up against the separator bar.

(I still love what I can do with PHP and MySQL - sure, they're not perfect, but what is?)

It's amazing what you really can do with PHP and MySQL now. I remember a few years ago the entire MySQL team was at our office in New Orleans using it for their developer training and we were showing Monty and David the co-developers of MySQL what we were doing with it and how we were working around not having transactions. It was funny seeing them trying to wrap their heads around how we actually used and hacked their software. But now everybody uses PHP and MySQL, Yahoo and Google both do now. Yahoo hired Rasmus and Google is about to add a bunch of new code that they use internally, so everything is hopefully going to get even better.

Just a lesson for today, MySQL is pronounced "My SQL", not "My Seequil". "My" is the name of Monty's daughter. So one more time, "My S-Q-L".

Yeah... Too bad about Bodis. I still have my account but now have moved out the last domain I had there. (There is a big difference between a $.09 and a $.60 click!)

I will probably move some of my names around a little bit to see if they perform better with different parking companies, but most of them will stay with Parked.

I would see them as widget.com and not on the meanwhile.com domain.

Powerup - It all depends on if Yahoo thinks your ip is in a different country or not. We leave it up to them. I know where you are located, but that doesn't always mean they are 100% sure, when they don't know they accept your traffic.

Yep, me too. Hate having one less option. Some of the names moved to Parked performing better and some worse. As they say no one service is best for all names.

I really love the Parked custom content ability and having fun with it. Biggest problem right now is a Geo name which can't get good links. A city, St. Joseph and when I use that as a keyword all I get is religion/catholic links.

Donny thanks for your thoughts... 25 people on cruise-If I had to keep up with that I would at the pool every day chain smoking and drinking non stop lol.

As far as mobi goes-its a portion of my portfolio. I hedge on things-I have a lot of .tv for the future, a lot of mobi, some .com, .net stuff, foreign stuff like .cn, .de and my first .in casino. I am always browsing on my mobi at my second dead end job at work and checking my parked stats and namepros.mobi. I buy things on mobi. I just think its just getting started and wait for the do no evil company to really open things up. As far as bubble topic-only time will tell. I dont know. As Rick said a few days back-follow the money. If you take a look at what Japan is up to there mobi phones and browsing-I think the usa market could do this. Admob is doing very well as well. My worry is the software factor and how that could cause a strain for mobi users. Type in flowers.com on your blackberry and it formats into mobi friendly pages. There are risks to things as you know. We all take risks. I miss the dot com boom. I have enough future names and betting on 5 years growth curve and social graph. Next year I want to buy a solid type in .com name with some traffic.

Ranking is not so important..parked.com pays for multiple clicks...u might want to consider that...
