The overall CTR I used to get was 85%~92%, and now it's down to 55% after adding a few more domains which bring in a lot more traffic. Not worried.

I was hoping someone would say that. I know it's possible as I've seen it in many people's screen shots when they are selling domains. I maybe have 150-200 domains that perform at that level but the majority of my portfolio is averaging in the 18-27% range. Is there anything you can recommend to pull up the performance on some of these ho-hum performers? I've already experimented with changing up images and color schemes and found some to be more effective than others on a regular basis. So far some of my most frustrating domains have been related to either online video sharing (youtube kinds of sites), sports betting, and credit cards. Great traffic, just can't seem to get the clicks. Anyone have anything that has worked well for these kinds of sites in terms of color scheme, photos, and keyword mix?

.....How important is adding additional content? Would a 50,100, or 200 word paragraph be enough to get the domain ranked in google, for example?

I have parked names iwhere the domain and content is listed in G which only had several lines of custom content.

A tip I can give eveyone here is to be aware there is often a negative correlation between custom content and CTR.

I used to get 110% CTR on a dropped video oriented domain of mine. The traffic did parish in about 3 months.

What keyword were you using? Most of my video domains are down at like 7-15% CTR. I'd be thrilled to death just to get to 20% on those domains.

my CTR used to be 15-20% for most of this year, but now its at a whopping 5%..... My traffic has been steady, if not increased. No idea whats going on.

The second half of December always sucks. I checked today and for the past 4 years from December 15th to December 26th we are only average down 20%. Then it goes back to normal on the 26th or 27th.

why are clicks ever removed? are the people leaving the site quicker then they are viewing it?

They're probably removed because the ad providers decided for whatever reason that they didn't want to pay for the clicks.

Every time I bitch in this item, things start getting better; sometimes before I'm even done typing. So I'm just gonna keep bitching bitching bitching, get used to it!

Seriously though, any time a click resolves up from .28 to 4.08, I can live iwith that.

Yeah mine seem to resolve up just as often as they do down so I figure it all averages out. That's one area where I will refrain from complaining in favor of others :lol:
