I have a question for the room or house whatever you want to call it. Say u had bunch of arcade game domains with a low tq.

Could they lower the return on the whole account?

Imo, Yes, they would affect the TQ of the whole account. For example, if you had a domain that got too many clicks a day, and if they converted poorly for the advertisers, it would result in lowering the whole account TQ score. And if the TQ of an account is affected, it will result in lower payouts to all the other domain names.

However, Donny would be the best person to answer this query.

Is it just me, or has anyone else experienced their CTR dropping through the floor this past week? Visits to my pages has remained very consistent, but the clicks have been been cut in half. I was chugging along at a nice pace to start the month, but Sunday the clicks just dried up. Just wondering.

Alan,
Actually overall we are higher this week than last week.

It looks like the past few days for you that you just haven't had many multiple clicks.

Yeah, that is what I figured it was. I guess I was just surprised to see sub 10% CTR's the last couple of days when I had such a good month of May. I was just wondering if it was a system-wide trend, or just me. Today is already looking better than the last three. I have my fingers crossed for another banner month. Thanks Donny.

Yesterday (6/9) one of my domains (ads for laptops/computers) shows an RPM of $1.33 and with 4 clicks I got 2 cents. Today I'm seeing 2 clicks for a car-accessories domain for which I'm showing RPM of $10 and a grand total revenue of 1 cent. Another disease domain got me 10 cents for one click. Someone's making money....apparently not me. I'm impressed with the parked.com setup and the customer service is very polite and prompt, but the whole point is to make money. Parked and yahoo make money from the domains, the domain owner should get something. I'm hoping parked will do right by its customers and we'll see some improvement in the rates. I'm seeing a little upswing in my sedopro account. Parked, I hope you follow suit because you're a great site, just need some incentive to bring over more domains.

Am i the only one? rpc for some of my names dropping down to .01 and .02? C'mon, get real!! I have moved some over to sedo where they have performed a little betters!!! All in all parking revenue in general is very disappointing and for my names has dropped dramatically over the past few months. Names making dollars a day a year ago now making a few cents. But there again i am self taught and perhaps i don't have the skills, knowledge and expertise to monetise them correctly. A bit hit and miss with me. I reckon that as earnings plunder, more parkers get more and more disenchanted and let their names drop instead of renewing and therefore parking companies lose more and more business. I think also that a secondary problem is that a name that has been earning a couple of $ a day for a few months or years had good resale value but if revenue has dropped to a few cents it is now not as valuable so we lose in all ways.

Anyway, just the ramblings of an old man in the bush, so what would i know? Will probably pull out of parking shortly. Now, what is Noomle?

I don't think any domain affects another one's income, domainer111.
...
As far as the templates, still waiting on Yahoo to approve them :)

Thanks SDX. Maybe the cat in your avatar is waiting on Yahoo?

I see Varon thanks.

You're welcome...of course, with Donny's leadership Parked.com will become the most profitable parking service on the internet! :)
...
BTW, what happened to Netmeg in our thread? :)

opalxx - A lot of it depends on where the traffic is coming from. I can tell you that for example in the US and CA the lowest prices I'm seeing is at least 5 cents for non-adult traffic. And yesterday somebody got a $123.19 click. :)

But it all depends on the location of the traffic and what they are looking for.

It was strange, almost a fluke. The term was clicked out 5 times that day and 4 of them were less than $30. And then that one magic click.

During the day where I have time to visit the forum, I can't usually get in to Namepros anymore.

This namepros downtime SUCKS! I have sent a few messages and emails volunteering to fix their problems for free. But not a word. Maybe I should volunteer to host it for free. :)

Not mine Peter. :)

I really don't have a ton of big click traffic, but then most folks don't. I think my record at parked is like $24 or something similar.

BTW Peter you may want to try what I have been doing lately to get earnings back up. I turned my attention to Parked and have been optimizing my entire portfolio at Parked over the last three weeks or so to reoptimize each domain....one by one. It would appear that I might be heading back to 40%-50% CTR again for my entire portfolio. It has taken lots of hours of optimization work (25 times sitting down and optimizing for hours each time to be exact), to start seeing the CTR go up, and I still have a long way to go, but I am seeing definite progress on CTR.

I still say and hold firm in the belief that Yahoo did something on March 14, 2009 that changed the formula and consequently the payout. My CTR dropped like someone had flipped a switch and took away 10% CTR. It happened in one day.....not gradually.

Now, if only the RPC would hold and not keep falling, which it looks like it is sliding again after hitting a plateau for a spell.

Damn this recession! :)

Unfortunately, I thought I would NEVER see a RPC less than a cent a Parked, but my nightmare has come true! :'(
...
Now, having said that, Parked.com still beats DS, Trafficz, SEDOPRO, etc. in my experience. :)

Not to be dour, but Donny I'm getting word from several other old school domainers that payouts on Yahoo feeds are collapsing in the last week or so. I'm hearing about some drops of up to 60% or more .....and this is off of the already low earnings.

I was told that if the domains are moved to ANY Yahoo feed the results are roughly the same, whereas they were not before. They are saying their whole account seemingly has been targeted by Yahoo.

Have you heard anything about this Donny? Honestly, even with all my optimization lately the RPC has dropped about 20% even though CTR is going up, and it makes me wonder if there is another collapse at hand.

Are you seeing anything like this?
.

Peter, I got one yesterday at another Yahoo feed parking company for .007 cents.

It was a loan domain also.
.

This would really be BAD news for both Parked and WhyPark (using Parked's feed)...

Maybe BING will come out with a feed that could bring life back into parking and mini-sites. :)

I know some people are still making good money with parking, but it's definitely not that great overall anymore.

But to finish on a good note, something new and fun as parking used to be is bound to come out :imho:.

My returns have been slowly been going up the last four or five paydays. Still lots of 1 - 3 cent clicks though - especially those from outside of Europe or North America. I've taken so many domains out of parked for minisites too.

Porn domains are really suffering but thankfully parked.com actually pays for multiple clicks so it ain't all bad. Sedo was 1-3 cents for everything two years ago - what are they paying today? Or those parking there are probably paying them?

Fab is still flying along for me - but there too I have removed so many domains for developing...

BTW, I have a question regarding Hyphenated-domains.
Is anyone doing good with these?

Thanks!
