I am having at least 50% drop on all my domains. Is that normal?

Whitebark - what does really work ? Do you think it's a question of having good names to start with or can you turn an average name (particularly a non dotcom) into something getting good visitor numbers and clicks by changing keywords. And how many keywords do you need ?

.mobi is on our list to add, we were close to launching it then we decided to move those resources to something else for the time being. It will be available at some time, but it's not a high priority as there really isn't much money it .mobi domains except for the speculation.

Whitebark - Yes we do have something up our sleeve that should be available sometime in January, hopefully. Maybe. I haven't forgotten about your other requests, it's just been a busy last few days.

Just an update on one of the things we have been working on recently. Yesterday we added another 10 webservers to speed a few things on the surfers side, these are the first dual proc quad core webservers that we have added into the system. We have moved about 20% of the normal traffic to these machines and they seem to be doing quite well. Over the next week or so we may move additional traffic to these new servers. No downtime was involved with this addition.

We have 2 new DB boxes that we will be adding in to the mix in a few weeks, but this will involve some downtime on Parked.com but your domains will work fine during this time. I will make an annoucement with a date and a timeframe for us to add these new servers in.

Oh well, back to work.

I hate the fact that parked login system is really slow..In office it is usually 40 seconds to dashboard (due to firewall maybe) and at home it is usually 20 seconds...Given the fact that I am on cable network with one of the fastest operators (I can download torrents at 3 mb/sec)...


Of course great work by adding new servers...My parked sites however load lightening quick...

At Home it is OPTUS cable, and a seperate line from BIGPOND as well...

Optus is usually fast so I use it...In Uni , it is Bigpond and even there load time is slow...At work it is a common provider for the full Asia Pacific

Optus is really slow where i am and i usually get 85% signal on 20mb cable, I still get a really slow delay when i login to the parked dashboard, I think it doesn't help i'm on opera atm either.

evilopinions - When I login to your account it takes 0.2 seconds to login. And since James has similiar problems, I think we can blame it on Canada. I mean Australia.

I did just try it on IE and Firefox and they both were fast. I know somebody who works on Opera so I won't ever install it on one of my machines, so I can't test that browser.

Donny - I dunno if it's just me, but I can't seem to get the custom content editor to work properly in Firefox. It works fine in IE, but in Firefox, those pop-up windows for formatting the tables don't open all the way, and there's no scrollbars, so you can't even scroll across. Is this a known bug that we just have to live with, or can you check and see if it can be fixed?

Donny, I was wondering if parked could add a feature whereby members had the option of viewing their weekly assigned Quality Score on the dashboard. Members who haven't yet been assigned a Q score would see a tab mentioning "No Q score assigned". Thus members could track their Q score every week ensuring that their traffic quality and conversions for advertisers can be easily monitored. This should also save the account managers precious time spent answering multiple member queries on weekly score updates. One step further (would be great if implemented) would be if these Q scores could then be converted into timeframe specific graphs showing Q score performance, it would be easy to pinpoint which weeks led to the highest scores and possible corrective action based on weekly performance.

Btw, with your advice, I saw a surge in my Q score update this week. Also seen an improvement in CPC.

I had to hack my firefox browser to get it to work properly but you are right - the popup boxes don't resize properly under firefox.

I'd rather play in traffic than use IE. :hehe:

When I go into my protfolio i want to update the optimazation process and save it with that thumbs up figure.

Its not doing this and it continues to search and search.

It used to allow me to save. I want to change keywords around and afraid to change things due to this happening.

Not sure if anyone else has issues on this or an explanation of what is occuring

I just leaned about this quality score issue a few days back. Varon brought up a great point and some how tie that into the back end. I emailed my rep because I was worried on hits and high ctr but rep said it all looks good traffic.

Had my best 2 weeks ever with parked. Still in the kiddy pool but I am very happy and as long as I can continue to work on my top 40 names, I keep getting the views and clicks I am a happy camper. Right now I think I can double my revenues and clicks month by month since I am still small and get a few more names roling.

Happened to me a few times, just send your account manager a support ticket and they'll fix it. The system automatically defaults to porn if it detects any adult-related keywords... In this case, I guess "stud" may have triggered it...

netmeg - I just verified it myself and I had somebody verify yesterday that it works fine at least for us in Firefox. Could you send me a screen shot of what you are seeing, that might help. Just send it to my email address and I'll have somebody look at it.

Varon - We are planning on adding the TQ scores to the account, the issue we have been running into is in some accounts Yahoo has 2 scores and we are trying to resolve that issue. But it shouldn't be long.

JeffOverman - Yes, Yahoo says videostudpoker.com is adult, just send something to your account manager and they can submit something to Yahoo to have it reclassified. It takes about 3-4 normally.
