WHAT IS THE PLAN:
I have placed 87 premium, landrush .mobi domain names on SEDO auction. These all have bids. NO RESERVE.

WHEN WILL THE AUCTION RUN:
SEDO from 10/25/08 to 11/1/08. Auctions end between 10AM - 10PM PST on 11/1/08, unless otherwise noted.

WHY:
I am and will always be an entrepreneur at heart... and, I'm tired.

I spend hours/week on domaining, and I'm going to transfer those hours to my baby girl.

AUCTION EXPECTATIONS:
I expect mid $XXX to low $XX,XXX depending on the name. I placed NO RESERVE on the auctioned domain names. I trust the marketplace.

My perspective on life has changed dramatically in the last year.

Yes, I believe .MOBI domain names (premium, landrush names) have taken a hit. What hasn't? Housing, Financial markets, Domain Names. You name it.

However, what is most different from my perspective, is my kid. I know that I need to maximize my time with her.

I'm done checking dnsaleprice.com and dnjournal.com. No offense to those guys.

I'm over the chase.

I still believe in .MOBI and .COM, .NET, .ORG as well as a few key CCTLDs. I'm just ready to moooooove on.

i thought you were a buy and hold guy though? that really doesnt take any time except paying renewal fees every year.. just curious what changed in that sense?

I was in the domain name business from 1995-2000. I held 5 years and sold my portfolio. I wanted to focus on my career.

Now, it's time to focus on the baby.

I am a buy/hold guy... until something life changing happens.

I just read on the DNJ that generics Cayman.mobi, Consultant.mobi, and VirginIslands.mobi closed - though Whois still states, "Domain Transfer Escrow Service" - recently at Sedo's supplemental list for low $1,xxx IMHO. :blink:
