I took my ridiculously hyphenated name (regged yesterday) and developed it. This is a site that will need to be bookmarked. I am thinking of adding rules for specific games in the future. I've sat at too many home poker games hearing people argue over what beats what etc...

Any thoughts on the site?

It is a nice idea, but i am not sure how the site will make money or it will profit, maybe we need to invent a PPC ad system for mobile phone and text browsers so that you can make more money.

Anyway, personally i think the idea will pick up very soon and very fast, and i personally wish you the best of luck with your site. I think it is worth $100 without even doing anything else to it, but i am not an expert on .mobi.

Actually, it already exists... admob.com and there are others.

Runsome, the collective .mobi community appreciates your development efforts. More dev equals a better future for all. No search engine will give us any creds if .mobi is just a sea of parking pages.

This is fantastic!

What a great idea. I am definitely gonna have to bookmark this but I'll be visiting it to brush up on my card game skills. I like the layout.

So many hyphens!! Hyphen city right here!

I should register hyphencity.mobi

Cool site. Simple, attractive, and informative.

It is indeed good to see some spider food out there on the Web. The more developed sites we have the better for us all. And the better chance you have of obtaining and keeping good SERPs in the future.

BTW - looks great on my BlackBerry Pearl; I'll check it out on my RAZR when I get home.

WTG! :)

Thanks for all of the positive feedback, and thanks Don_OKC for the add. My main objective for now is to get quality/usable content on the site, and of coarse I will expand it as time goes on. I will hold off on putting any ads on it to keep it nice a clean.

Thanks again for everyones support :kickass:

Very nice, does the black background work on a mobile emulator or mobile phone? I have had pokerhands.mobi since September and it is developed also as I was thinking along the same lines as you. :)

Thanks, the black background does indeed show up on both phones in the emulator. Here is the link to the site through the emulator if anyone wants to view it.

http://emulator.mtld.mobi/emulator.php...p-o-k-e-r.mobi..

I plan to expand it beyond just poker hands, but I figured this is a good start for now basically a "keep it simple stupid" approach. Good luck with yours, you have a great name for it.

Very nice, I could see a site like this coming in handy!

Maybe it's because I'm one of those people that forget what beats what.. :hehe:

Mobile phones + large amounts of text = Doesnt work...

The sites are not designed for SEO, they are designed for mobile phone web browsers, which are text browsers and still very small. I like that idea, it just wouldnt work.

Thanks!

I wanted to see how AdMob would look on a real Mobi site and it's A-OK.
AdMob will work fine if I ever have any traffic or should I say when I have traffic. :hehe:

Thanks again Runsome and your a :great:

Your formula is why I am sure the engines will adapt accordingly. The more concise the site, the more relevant to the mobile user. The search engines will figure out how to better smell for keyword padding and score it low for mobile sites. The creds I am concerned with is the hope for a .mobi search default. It will never happen as long as .mobi is a sea of parking pages. Development is a VERY good thing.
