I registered these two days ago and this morning there was an article on the BBC News hompage about Oytocin nasal sprays as a future cure for social phobia. As social phobia is the second most common mental health problem affecting up to 15% of the american population at any one time, how much do you think these domains are going to be worth in 5 years when these products come on to the market?

SleepingPills.com sold for $xxx,xxx . I know that OxytocinNasalSprays.com will never get the type in traffic to justify that, also the singular would have been better in this case (already taken) but I stil think it should be worth $x,xxx+

There is no way that Oxytocin can be a trademark. It is a naturally occuring hormone in the body. It can no more be trademarked than 'blood' or 'tetosterone' can be trademarked.

I think there is likely to be a plethora of companies producing these sprays very soon. I doubt if any one company could corner the market and define a generic name which would become ubiquitious. At first I thought 'oxytocin' didn't trip off the tongue and would be a bit hard to type in direct but after a little while it seems a very easy and pronouncable name.
