Overture Suggestion Tool shows how many time a keyword(s) was searched in the past month. It is an indicator of the popularity of a term and (if you own a .com) a good indicator of what amount of type ins to expect. I estimate about 5 -15% type-ins based on Overture results.

For example: if "keyword".com has an OVT result of 1000, you could expect 50-150 type in /month if you owned "keyword".com.

Overture also provides a bid tool that shows what certain keywords are currently paying per click.

No, because people don't just type-in two keywords and add a .com at the end. For example, if someone is looking for a baseball website, they may type in baseball.com, but they're not going to type in baseball+another keyword.com.

If you wanted an idea of what kind of type-in traffic you'll get from a keyword+another keyword.com website, you could try OVT'ing the two different keywords, and if they are closely related, there may be some searches.

Let's be complete though guys.... Things you will ALSO get:

People telling you your site is worthless because the OVT results DON'T include the .com. (yeah right!)

People telling you that just because you get high OVT results, it doesn't meam anyone will visit the site.

People telling you that searching two word phrases (like "apple pie") don't count because two word domains are useless.

Strangely highly numbers for even stranger domains due to people continually checking their own OVT ratings and artificially inflating their numbers.

Basically... expect alot of people to DEVALUE your domain and use OVT as the way to do it.

In short...

Use OVT as a way to pull and optomize keywords for your domain(s) for use with Search Engine Optimization (search engine optomization), meta tagging, submissions and developement.

DON'T use OVT as a way to talk others into selling you their high value domains for pennies on the dollar.

Don't forget people searching their own crummy domain one month and then posting it for sale the next - such as "go4h3lp.biz - 63 OVT WITH EXT!!!!"
