Other ads to show when Google ads don't appear

First off I know they dont allow ads that look like google ones but I'm sure there has to be some decent ads you can run when google ads dont show up on a page

anyone know what advertisers I could use, I cant use Yahoo's cuz they look like google's

I usually just do a generic ad for my own site.

I use commission junction and yahoo.
For cj, i've been noticing that ebay gives me my best return.

I'm just looking for ads to use when the google ones dont show up. Say you have 2 ad spots and only 1 google ad shows up, I'd like the others to show something. I guess I could promote my own stuff like i have in the past though.

Thing is they cant look like Google's, according to their terms of agreement so Yahoo is out of the question. I will look in to ebay ads though, since they are definately different looking.

There's an option in Adsense for alternative ad URL. You put in the URL to the frame you want to display if there's no Adsense ads to display.

It's usually a good idea (like some other people said) to run in house ads.. give your site and your revenue a bit of a push
