Dotster (& family) were doing regular $1.99 regs during flash sales. Don't think I've seen one since 5 weeks or so ago however.

Fasthosts is another (I can't vouch for them, haven't used them.)

As with anything, do research and make sure you don't regret it later. Saving a few bucks isn't worth losing sales or domains over.

They do but do the research first especially on this one, they have some shady tactics.

I know that some names at Alpnames are sold at 1 or less. I had a friend who only had trouble after buying name from Fasthosts.

They ask some people for photos or scans of personal ID's and docs just to reg a domain.
