Hey guys ,

I had the option version (1 word+ option .com ), which is 10y/o , and the one with "s" is available to hand reg , so should i get it ?

which one u think has more value , I know it depends on the name , but generaly speaking

let's say , for example MediaOption vs MediaOptions

Thanks

if it was need . . . then need options sounds better than need option.

MediaOption sounds better than Media Options

it's actually a noun , not a verb , like : website , domain ,name etc

dogoption or dogoptions both work

homeoptions>homeoption

dinneroptions imo >dinneroption but close depending on context.

Shhhhh ... Don't say that to @MediaOptions .. lol

Obviously depends on the name .. but with plural/sugular I'd say if the potential USER (I mean website visitor, not domain name end user buyer) things of whatever it is in plural then there should be an S in this case.

Usually people are looking for AN option. However they are looking to choose a choice amongst optionS .. so they are going to the site for optionS .. although I guess you could also argue they are going with the purpose of finding THE option in the end. But at the start I think they're hoping to find multiple options to choose the best from.

Both work .. although I'm thinking plural. If it's a serious project then definitely get both if it's an option .. or optionS .. lol ;)

thanks guys , Unfortunately , the s version is gone :) can't believe that , just checked it now and it has gone just a few hours ago

I got the option version before a week (checked , and the s was available ), and just hours ago the transition was complete , so it must be some kind of a written script that caught the plural

so ,the domain was :
CodeOption.com , 10 y/o
could you appraise it please ?

There is a lesson here.
If you think you need / want both versions, you need to pull the trigger.
If the singular has value to you and you can get the plural for reg fee, or vise versa, it is a no brainer, imo.

Especially if you plan on dev'n it, if only to protect the one you already own.

I'm not saying you should do this with every domain you own, but obviously you had plans or saw value for this specific domain, and the opportunity to get it at reg fee, jump it, then come here and ask which one while you can still grace it out or keep them both.

Now you might have to buy off some other domainer that figured out what domain you were talking about and sniped you. (no, I'm just kidding, domainers aren't that way) ;)

Peace,
Cyberian

lol .. I honestly checked to see if it was available to let him know.

That being said .. I don't see much value in the domain so it's easy to say .. if it was actually mediaoptions.com that was available then there's a small chance Drew's (@MediaOptions) wallet would be a little lighter today! ;) lol
