Price wise i would say it is in keeping with other sales( although obviously more than cctld such as .de and .co.uk) and i would maybe have expected casino.eu to sell for that, not Onlinecasino.eu,howver, predominantly ,what i meant was that .EU is still quite young and most countries use either .com or there own cctld,so to see a large sale of .EU this early suprises me a little, but hey shows what i know!! lol

The owners of Casino.eu and Poker.eu may be asking exorbitant prices so they settled for the ones with the "online" added.

I think your right Kerri. This is very plausible.
Even though .eu is young it is very well alive and gaining more interest as we can see from sales that are being reported.

The eu extension is not as non-valuable or interesting as many people claim it to be.
I'm not at all surprised of the amount of the sales price.

Me neither on my PcPoker.eu :hehe: - What a difference 2 little letters can make :'(

I remember some :alien: put Poker.eu on sedo - I don't think they actually owned it at that time, needless to say there were many many offers made for it, it was removed from sedo.

Whoever got that one is a lucky bunny !

Both sales are ridiculously high...as in as high or higher than the .net's would sell for. Crazy...

OnlineCasinos.net sold for $17,000 on Afternic in May, that's how. And InternetCasinos.net is available in a lot of extensions...I wouldn't have paid 700 Euros for InternetCasinos.eu let alone 7,000...very high sales indeed.

Thanks for sharing that info Crooky.

Although $17,000 coverted to Euro would be โ‚ฌ13,286.12 and the .eu being sold for โ‚ฌ7,500 that is a nice sale but not over priced in my opinion.
But i don't considder .eu as a crappy extension so i am a little biased on this.

OnlineCasino.eu sold for โ‚ฌ36,500, and OnlineCasinos.net sold for the $17,000, which you say converts to โ‚ฌ13,286.12...a bit over 1/3 of the .eu sale, though singular is usually better than plural with casino names. IMO, OnlineCasino.eu should have sold for around โ‚ฌ12,000 and InternetCasinos.eu for MAYBE โ‚ฌ1,000. I mean the .eu extension is not THAT proven yet...how would they know they're going to get their money's worth with a developed site assuming that's an end user?

I am happy at this news- I got onlinecasino.pk and am listing it on sedo soon- I won't be asking as much as that though!

You can "bet" that name was from one of the grey area registrations (most of which were)- whoever it was has paid for his/her dodgy company/registrar a few times over and eurid should be ashamed.

Aplogies to seller if I am wrong- but unlikely!

With all these (quite impressive) .eu sales reported to date its somewhat surprising to see that some forum members feel that prices being paid for these .eu names are "too much"....Is it not the marketplace and buyers who decide what a particular commodity is worth? If it was OnlineCasino.com, it'd be easily worth in mid-high six figures...i.e. 10-15 times more than what OnlineCasino.eu got sold for. IMO, .eu is well on its way to be a major player in the namespace and would easily become more valuable than .net.

Should have and could have...that's the name of the domaining game ;)
Excellent keywords, nice extension, nice sale.

Five more .eu sales reported today. The .eu extension is still in a early stage but it is obviously going to be a very much alive extension in the years to come.
They are going to get their money's worth...whomever the buyer was :)
