4. A Co-Worker who plays online role playing games after work and during lunch in his cubicle complains his computer is working slower than usual. He mentions he won’t call the IT department, because he doesn’t want them tracking his online activity. Best Answer: A. Any other answer opens the door to personal culpability and liability in case of work product loss and lack of confidentiality in the computer network.

5. You think your house may have been broken into. You check your desk and computer area to make sure your information and files are safe.

A) Everything’s fine. Your computer’s gone, but no matter. Your External Drive with encryption key is where you hid it.
B) Your Hard Drive has been accessed but you don’t figure this out until the next day, when goods ordered in Czechoslovakia with your credit line have already shipped.

D) Your desk and files and records are such a mess you wouldn’t know what was missing if you turned the entire desk and file cabinet inside out .

Best Answer: A. Separate devices with scanned records and security access like browser passwords are best left to a remote drive that can be hidden if guests are inn the home or you spend extended time away from the house. Scanned files and receipts are in and not piled in desk drawers for anyone to steal and replace. Desktops and laptops can be scanned and their IP addresses compromised. Reset wi-fi connections and run antivirus scans on the computers.
