I like .one extension a lot. plus I got a few offers on my .one domains lately so I am all warm fuzzy about it.

I decided to share some warmth by creating a showcase thread. it would be nice for me to hear your .one domains. who knows maybe we can even trade some.

here I go first:

  • 3-d.one
  • arcade.one
  • bookmark.one
  • copyright.one
  • dictionary.one
  • eternity.one
  • explorer.one
  • gambler.one
  • immortal.one
  • input.one
  • kinky.one
  • meta.one
  • metaverse.one
  • prototype.one
  • rep.one
  • satan.one
  • subject.one
  • terminal.one
  • torrent.one
  • virtualreality.one

and to get you more pumpted about .one, here is some great sales already, not by me:

not much left to reg.. but decided to go for few I was eyeing for a while now.. hope they pay one day!

I regged about 10 keyword .one-domains.

My top english domains are in my opinion:

unlock.one
theatre.one
tbd.one
freebet(s).one

What do you think about it ?

I also regged some german domains. At the moment Germany is behind China and in front of the US in regging .ones.

Love this thread. So happy to see people realizing the huge potential in dot-one extension. In my eyes, it's the most amazing TLD to be released, ever. The word ONE is ubiquitous practically with any other word in the dictionary. It flows so well, whether being said in phrase, being used in a brick and mortar business or website name, or put together with just another single word. Hundreds if not thousands of companies currently have the word ONE incorporated into their company name. Imagine a company like Entertainment One, for example, scoring the domain E.ONE. So sweet.

@alcy You've got some fantastic names!

@Raindrops Bud.One and Speak. One in my portfolio...great names! Sorry you were too late! One of my favorites I have is PublicEnemyNumber.One. What the hell if it aint fun what's the point? But what won't be fun is the renewals, that's for sure. I think I've got 100+ of them.

But I'm preaching to the choir here. As it's slowly being realized...this extension is going to The-One. Just don't tell anyone. Like a fine wine...age those one's you've grabbed and they will taste even better once the general hype has died down over all the other 3 letter TLD's.

thanks! yes, I think I did okay and picked up some nice ones. I got there shortly after it opened to public so some stuff was still left to reg. domaining is a lot about timing.

even a day ago some decent single words were availqable. I doubt I'll go for LLL chips or non chips that have no meaning.. maybe.. if there are any left now.. cause I see .one as more of a single english dictionary words only thing. and even those I see olnly in singular.. not really plural.. with a few exceptions.. those are of course only my thoughts about it. the rest of peoploe can do as they think.

and yes! definitely longer term investment! maybe 3-5 years to see good profit return.
so best stick to good great gems only.

remember gofdaddy has them $8 each to renew and reg.. with domain club.. in case you are overpaying with dynadot like most of us were, befoe godad joined .one party.

cheers

oh yeah.. in case you are regging stuff on godaddy like I did last nite.. funny true story:

I go to GD to reg grip.one
it says available. I click select. then it says sorry, not availabke.
I repeated this 3 times.. just to be sure.. same happened.

so I go to dynadot and reg there. with no issue at all.

suspicious I guess. but.. who can say for sure what went on there.

point of story.. if something fails after saying available at GD, try dynadot.

either way.. the rest went okay at GD from the reg list I just posted last nite.

Yes, I understand you - no problem - it wasn't / isn't my special intention to discuss another gTLD than .one here, I simply shared my view of the relation of the gTLD .one to an other gTLD - that's generally necessary I think.

.one is a without any doubt a remarkable gTLD and I wish all the success to .one owners.

nope. not necessary at all.
otherwise this thread will become abotu .one and every other extension it is being compared to. and there can be many. so you can imagine .one extension compared to 54354 other extensions, in 534534554 posts. suddenly .one becomes the extension least discussed.

it's a nice idea for aq thread though if you wanna.. ".one vs all other extensions"

I'll drop by. cheers.

Did anyone not get the .one they were looking for? I know some have premium pricing but i think that keeps the spam sites number down overall.

Now we know where all these regs are coming from :xf.wink:

To me they don't make much sense. Would you reg solarnumberone.com? toysnumberone.com? Only because the "number" goes well with .one, doesn't mean that these combinations will ever have resale value.

IMO a business will always prefer toys.one tickets.one and so on. The "number" is if added in peoples mind.

I'd go a step further and say most sales in .one will not even include the plural versions.. only singular. from what I saw so far, no plurals are listed as premium either..

As always, IMO depends on domain. Some words just sound more natural in plural.

EG I have "cigarettes" - plural. While the singular would look good as a brand name, shoppers are more likely to search for cigarettes. Thus I prefer plural.

Currently the .one is mostly still seen as part of the whole name. The more pages out there use .one, the more .one will be seen as just another nice extension without referring to the so often quoted "number one".

yes of course.. there are some exceptions to what I Said about plural.

but my point was just that.. that they are exceptions.

words in english context that are more commonly used in plural than singular version such as exaqmple:

headquarters

are extremely rare.

we're just trading opinions and its all good. so my opinion and course of action is to stay away from plurals in .one. minus those exceptions of course. cheers

A good .one domain showcase: Another. One
Lol nice. Good example of my last summer...registered another one..and another one...and another one..

@Harris100 I think I see where you were going with all those you reg'd with including "number" in the name. Mostly though, I would think it's rather redundant. But favorite.one, good catch!

@alcy, 5dots Good points on plural form name for dot-one. But don't write them off too soon, there is many plural names that easily flow with dot-one extension that would make great company/website names. Just have to get creative! Verbs and plural nouns such as "gets", "gives", "hosts" etc.
