I'm on a mission.. heading to the casino today at 1pm.. one of my neighbor's handed me $10 to bet for him and another gave me $30! I told them both they should just come along and bet it themselves but they said they have no luck! Now I'm under the gun, lol!

Anyway.. I'm taking $100 or so of my own money.. I'll let you all know how I do!

Play a little video blackjack if they have it... You can play 0.25 to $100 a hand....I love those machines...The house has very little favor.

They've got it.. my problem is the payouts are so low compared to some of the other games I enjoy, plus because it's an Indian casino, the machine spin results are pre-determined. Numbers are sent down from a central computer and determine the results.. so, if you get a bonus screen, you already know what you're going to win if you're familiar with the patterns (based on Bingo).

I know tho that in some casinos, VP and VBJ machines sometimes pay back over 100%. In the long term, you're getting paid to play!

Used to be in the casino / gaming industry. Got to see and learn how it all works. Was quite an eye-opener.

Best of luck on the game of your choice.

I went.. was there about 5 and a half hours. Hit $125 twice and that was about the extent of my "big" wins, not much over $50 besides that. I came home even for the night which is acceptable.. :)

Nah, you came home $100 ahead. Playing $100 and hitting two $150 is extraordinary...especially in a casino that most likely has lower overall payouts.

Well, I went with $120 and managed to come home with $120, so that's an acceptable evening for me..

I could have come home with my winnings but I figure I'm there to "win" so I usually risk my winnings at the higher denominations.. they're just weren't hitting tonight. I played the $1 - $5 slots several times and never hit much of anything.

Not a bad thing though....I am sure you had a good time and got alot of play to cap the day off....My last trip to vegas...I played blackjack,Double dollar slots...My card showed i had played 10.5K .....That's played of course...Win and lose....But when it was all said and done...I was even with what i had brought to play with....Got some comps from the aladdin...Had a great time! :)

I dont think I would ever come home if I went to Vegas lol...

Next time you go Dave, take some money for me :hehe:

Yeah, I figure in the 5 + hours I was there, I actually went thru plenty of money but I don't count it til I'm on my way home with it. I knew I went in with $120 and hit for $125 on my second $10 so I set that aside... hit another $125 spin when I was at about $80 or so.. those were my big spins for the night. I've done better.. the slots just weren't paying at anything above $1.25 tonight. Everytime I'd try to play $2.50 or above, it'd just chew up my winnings.. I put my last $60 in a $5 slot and didn't hit a thing..

Here's a crazy concept.

Why dont we organise a NP Monthly fund for Dave. He goes to the casino to play with our money. then, when he comes back, we split what he's won or we "roll over" to the following month.

20 people sticking in $10 (not alot) each, got to be worth a shot ;)

I'm like Mellow - What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. If I goto Vegas, I stay in Vegas ;)

I hope that was a joke.. you do realize I DO lose from time to time! ;) I'd hate to be under the gun.. that would take all the fun out of going!

Actually, I wasn;t joking atall :)

Wouldn't hurt and would be quite a laff tbh ;)

How about these for ground rules:

1) Each person who wants to give it a go, must put in no more / less than $10.00
2) You are restricted to a total of 2 hrs maximum play time with this fund
3) You can determin the optimum time to goto the Casino
4) If you achieve over 100 percent profit, you MUST stop. Anything over 100% and you get to keep it.
5) Individual "stake holders" get to decide whether to keep the cash, or to "double up".

Terms: Everyone accepts that Dave is a trustworthy guy. You MUST be rpepared to get nothing back from this investment.

Side Note: If Dave is seen driving around in a new car after this venture, we each get turns to slap him until he hands over the keys and we get to trade it in for cash ;) lol

So, any takers.

(p.s. 'm in btw...ofc)

Hmmm.. you have it all figured out, don't you?

One problem I see.. two hours often isn't enough time to hit or recoup.. some times it is, some times it isn't. I normally go for 5-6 hours at a time.

The other problem, I'm not sure such a fund is intrinsically "legal".. I'm know it's done in gambling circles (ever see the movie Rounders?) but I doubt it's legal in a public forum.

:)

Sen the movie until the DVD wore out, and bought another ;)

But, this isn't a "movie" and no one needs know what we talk about on these public forums...lol

If we put in $1000+ each, I could see the concern. You going with $100 isnt going to kill em ;)

As for the time, well, just bet higher ;) lol

I usually bet $2.50 or $5 whenever I'm above $100.. goes quick or wins big that way.

As far as knowing what we talk about, these threads are Googled. D-: Obviously, this would have been better to discuss via PM. Too late now ;)
