I've got a dot info that I want to develop and I'm new in .info it's the first time I own it as I want to make a try. I rarely see .info on top of google results, do you think that it's worth to develop a .info? I'm ready to have a unique website, unique content and give all the best SEO as possible as I will do with a dot com but want to know if it's equal as a dot com when comes to rankings.

Google have said several times they do not discriminate by gTLD .info .net.org and .com all have the same chance of getting to the top of the SERPS.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=spain&meta= 2nd from 409,000,000
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=germany = 4th from 506,000,000
1st .org 2nd .de 3rd .de 4th .info 5th .gov

WOW, never knew this, great found, so .info can be ranked high but must research more because your .info spain and germany are Generic Ge country name so for other .info it could not work as fine. So I'm still not so convinced. Anyway I will try to launch my website,SEO and see results, I will then post here how it did rank within 6 month. Thank you.

I just chose those examples because of the high number of Google pages and I know a bit about tourism.info sites so they came to mind. + the Spain.info has some really nice design work.

A computing one
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=acpi&meta= (2)

A travel one
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=travel+phrases&meta= (1) + (2)
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=travel+phrases (3) + (4)

Government one
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=nyc+council (3)

Best of luck with your site. It will be interesting to know how you get on.

We have a very large .info directory (I've been meaning to launch it for ages but I never get the time to finish it. So I just keep adding sites as I come across them. It has several thousand .info sites listed in it LOL - All of them fully developed as opposed to parked / MFA sites.

We are always looking for more good .info sites so once you have a site up please send me a link and I'll add it.

Thanks...we're thinking on the same wavelength :) Do you plan on developing oceanfrontrealestate? It would certainly make a nice one as well.

I feel I'm on an info roll. I just picked up LifeInsuranceCompany.info....another $.99 well spent, IMHO. Love picking up names that have the potential to earn their keep with a single click. :xf.love:

I bought 100.info a few days ago... Purchase price is confidential, but I believe it was a very reasonable price.

I acquired it for an international site I have been planning for a while...

Afilias has not released any 2 digit numericals as far as I know... So I believe 100 is the best number available in .info, also taking into consideration search popularity:
http://www.google.com/trends?q=100,+101,+247,+666

Anyway, this new domain was part of the reason I started the thread regarding languages and "Info" at:
http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/564312-info-is-suitable-for-which-languages.html

From the research at the above link, I think there will be a strong rise in non-english .info values...
