Yup. And just to show that .info names can rank try a search on big G for Dubai Festivals and see what ranks #2/3 right after the official Shopping Festival site. It has been rumored that a small percentage of what Dubai.info sold for could well result in a change of ownership.

Correct Appraisal Value: $2,500-3,000 USD

Look for something educational, subject oriented.

For example, I am currently developing MountainRange.info which will cover the full spectrum of mountain ranges. Once completed, I'm going to SEO and sale.

I have always thought they were best for information, news-oriented website, plus indeed the other topics mentioned in a previous post answering yours.

You might be interested to see the websites featured by Afilias on their website: on the top of the list is a quite good exemple of what can be done (and should have been done more often) with .info domain names, www.religion.info.

If you are looking to build out .info's choose a good clean generic .info for something you are interested in. That way you can use what you already know about a subject to build pages.

(Most people probably don't know as much as you do about your favorite subjects so getting started pages are easy to do and people will remember your site for being useful.)

Plus because you are interested in the subject it's fun to search for more content and ideas about your subject.

If you aim to try to build the best resource on the web for your subject you shouldn't go far wrong.
