I have been reading the posts and for the past few weeks, the replies and posts by 'some' regs and yes, even some posts by the mods seem to be clearly anti mobi IMO.

If its going to be this way, why is there a mobi subforum? If there is no excitement and no sincere interest in the extension, why bother moderating it and allowing new members or new investors in the extension post for advice or opinions to only receive negative feedback and ho-hum attitudes?

I do not understand. Take it down if no one cares about .mobi here. At least then the new people investing and falling in love with .mobi can find a place that will help them, not make them question the validity of their interest.

I hate that this once flourishing .mobi forum has turned into what it has. This used to be THE place to be. I would spend hours here sifting thru the hundreds of new posts daily. There is hardly anything left of it. :(

I thought it was getting better. ? . Its a subjective assessment. I know that I left once or twice for a short break due to frustration, but business is business and NP is an important .mobi hub. I also have many friends here.

I have noticed newer faces. I have noticed many give tight appraisals, seemingly in part because they have a big portfolio already and are a little biased about reg'ing at present. Advice to primarily go to the aftermarket is sound, but its hard advice for someone new to .mobi to hear that they are close to being shut out and have to pay mid xx + for a name they are not thrilled with. Perhaps the $10 brandable seems better with the rosey glasses.

I think the mods have done a great job, enjoy their posts for the most part and and thank them.

I have seen an increased presence from the other NP mods in the .mobi subforum and believe it is partly a reflection of the namespace gaining mommentum.

I predict that many of these issues will resolve when .mobi rockets mainstream by the new year, or soon thereafter. :xf.love: Then the naysayers, chicken littles and okalydokalies can concentrate on something else, hopefully for their sakes something that they have a vested interest in... :'(

Why get caught up trying to assign yourself and everyone else either to the pro-mobi or anti-mobi camp? MOBI is what it is. NamePros doesn't pick sides.

RJ.. check the traffic stats to this place early this year.. it was a solid HOPPING forum with loads of members and posts. This place is almost empty now.

I have respect for you, we have spoken a few times, I think you are great. This is not about you in any way. Its about the handling of this subforum.
It started with a few flamers, they left, then it got productive. For a while it was ok. Now, its lets verify this, lets prove that, justify this show me that, this is not news, that is not a good idea etc. Its very negative.

I wish you could see it from the POV that comes from some one who was once completely addicted to this place. It has changed directions.

I just wanted to say what my feelings were on the subject.

1. mobi is 1 year old now and alot of the excitment of a new ext. has worn a bit...

2. most people interested in mobi have the names they want and are either waiting and watching or developing.

3. one person (who shall be nameless) singlehandedly has for the most part ruined the mobi section.
