NP$ is good or bad?

hello folks,

i'm relatively new here, so not sure whether there was any discussion
about it before.

currently those who post something at NP get NP$.
and as you know, NP$ has monetary power.
so NP$ is a good incentive for people to use NP.

but the downside is that i see many useless commets posted at NP.
apparently they try to get NP$ or to promote their sites
with no intention to contribute to NP.
so for people like me who would like to get some useful info from NP,
it's a turnoff to see many useless comments being posted.
with NP getting full of such comments, it also makes it more difficult
to search for really useful info.

so my main point is NP$ really decreases the quality of posting,
and may drive away people who really want quality info.

do we have any better alternative to the current NP$?

or, do you like the current NP as is?
just curious of your opinions.

I look at it from two perspectives.The first is you would have to post till your fingers no longer can function to aquire alot of NB$ just from posting alone.I have earned the majority of my NB$ selling some of my DNs for NB$.I think the fact that RJ and the gang came up with the idea for NB$s is nothing short of genius.Rather thier were NB$s or not here,There would still be most of same activity going on as far as posting goes.Have a look at other forums.The second is.NB$ allow us as a comunity to be able to buy,sell and trade using NB$.And to also receive trade ratings.This IMO strenthens the comunity and the NB$ is respected.A comunity strenthens this site.You can't buy anything with 100 NB$,Maybe a domain name NB$ auction where the name has $0 value.Well a 100 NB$ is alot of posting if you do the math.As for the appraisel section,It is simply a courtesy,But interesting enough,Where do i see the majority of the board alot of times,In the appraisel forum.Rather the appraisel forum stays or goes does'nt make me any difference.But in my opinion i think the admin and mods do an excellent job of maintaining the integrity of this site without complicating everyones expeirence here.And the NB$ plays somewhat of a role in the total comunity IMO.
