A thread like this would be nice, so that all cheaters, scammers and banned members , non paying bidders etc can be trashed there and can be made public so that i would warn others. :)

I understand where you are coming from but we have to be careful that we don't bring too much attention to the "NP Bad". I wouldn't want to see that particular forum grow large and point out to all that there are many/some "negative" members at NamePros.

A happy compromise has to be worked out because I do believe that everyone should be made aware that The Mods are taking care of keeping the sight running smoothly and that scams, bans, deadbeats, etc are being addressed.

I just feel that a Hall Of Shame forum leaves a negative feel to NamePros. That's just my point of view.

Tp a slight extent I think at least we should know the bad things that happen to stay away from them. Like scams. So not a bad idea. We just don't need to name people.

We do our best to keep these charlatans out of the community, even though they often try to return under new names and email addresses.

Would a Wall of Shame be helpful or is it to negative? We would also need to consider the legal aspects of it when you're talking about publicly identifing someone as a theif or scammer.

i think the trader rating is enough

Trder rating may be enough although you never know if there are negatives in there until you click on their rating. Maybe a % of positives (like eBay) would help.

I think it would detract from the many positives on this board and could discourage new people from joining.

I keep my own little list and I know quite a lot of people do the same. Plus as -RJ- pointed out - it would be a legal minefield for him - all that could really be done is have a list of banned members but without giving the reason as to why - you could only state that someone was a thief if it was part of the public record, ie tried and convicted in a court of law.

Innocent until proven guilty I believe is the phrase and whilst we may be convinced that someone is a theif or a scammer - do the mods get enough evidence to actually have them prosecuted.

Something to steer clear i think - the board does a good job of self policing IMO
