I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

fyi; all Atom Premium names were supposed to show within PB reg path since Sep 2025, but due to an @Atom.com API configuration bug - they have not been. @Porkbun was able to implement a partial fix, but needs Atoms help to fix their API so Atom Premium .now's appear when someone searches solely for the SLD (without TLD). That works for all other Atom Premium TLDs, except .now. Assuming Atom tech fixes their API, .now should show (and gain whatever eyeballs Porkbuns distribution brings with it). fyi @GrantPolachek

I found a lot of information here. And I learned many interesting things.
Some very good info, but also a lot that confused me.
I have read some of it again later

Interesting case:
GoDaddy doesn't sell .now domains, but when you search for "now domains" on Google, you see a GoDaddy ad saying: ".now Domains - Domain Privacy Included"
Is this just innocent keyword advertising, or something more misleading?

You can't get more private when it comes to domains than not being able to buy one.

GoDaddy’s new approach to Whois privacy:
Don’t need to hide Whois data… just don’t sell the domain at all. 100% privacy guaranteed :xf.wink:

You have got my attention. I have spent years looking for a domain extension to make a clear challenge to .com for younger generations who want to develop an alternative culture than .com. It is my believe that .com has a very individualistic culture and the share economy movement still has a way to go where young entrepreneurs may prefer to advocate sharing technology through another extension. I am personally building my career around the share economy as I believe this has the potential to reduce a lot of poverty in the world and it is my desire to work on projects that are built on principles.

I have considered the following:
.black (Representing the thrift market where staying in the black is seen as a colour associated with good financial management)
.pink (Representing decentralised technology where pink is associated with pink zoning which is linked to clearing out red tape to get a more efficient way of operating)
.top (Representing street domaining due to the fact it is the domain with the cheapest renewal fees)
.net (The traditional domain queen representing net shopping which is bulk shopping that represents the crowd acting in harmony)
.ai (The emerging domain for the artificial intelligence industry)
.co (Like .com but with the advantage that there is less letters to type)

Problems with these options:
.black (Highly political colour associated with race)
.pink (Highly political colour associate with gender)
.top (Common choice for spammers)
.net (Too old)
.ai (Too niche)
.co (Typos give free traffic to .com)

.now didn't get my attention straight away. It is growing on me now and I am very interested in exploring this domain extension for it's potential. I am considering the potential of a #DotNowVSDotCom campaign. In some sense this is a #GenerationZvsGenerationX campaign. The theory is that #GenerationZ is the generation to challenge the dominance for #GenerationX who have heavily invested in .com. The .now brand packs a strong punch to it. At this stage I am not planning on buying any .now domains for myself. I prefer to work on commission and find domains for investors. In addition to this I am looking for a domain extension to represent my children's generation. I am not looking for myself.

I intend to watch this thread for the near future as I can see the case that .now could be a transformational domain extension and I am very interested in learning the strengths and weaknesses for this argument. I can see the potential of how a generation can build around this extension. The renewal fees are high and I am concerned about this but I can see that there is a case that the higher renewal fees have advantages.

I will think about this extension over the weekend and hope to give an update next week if I am still on the same wavelength.
