I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

I think if he had offered them on Atom wholesale he would of recouped more and done less damage to .now gtld. Cant think of a reason to liquidate at half time.

Had another.now sell wholesale today, this time a standard reg. Interest is growing.

Sold another.now via Atom Wholesale Marketplace. A premium reg.

I have sold 11 wholesale via atom.

Says the guy who started selling in the 1st inning.

For a profit

I'm not going to comment further on that topic here.

I will say however, Atom promotes its auctions to retail buyers and it is a public auction (it is not solely a wholesale auction between atom sellers in private). As such, a sellers expectation may be that he can get a bidding war started and make a return on his investment. I've seen 4 figure sales occur on Atom Auctions frequently.

Whether he expected those kind of returns I cannot say. Regardless, the names were purchased and remain for sale. There was no damage done. And in fact, he may have helped the gTLD - getting some of the names in the hands of sellers like Active Media who intend to outbound and bring awareness to the gTLD.

More important will be the drop rates in Oct. Hopefully those of you who picked up these assets either sell them or renew them. A gTLD with a higher than normal drop rate will prove more harmful than <1% of the currently registered names being up for Auction on a retail website.

There's some some nonbelievers out there (hehe) even though it should have been obvious .now was a winner.

Not only nonbelievers but lots of 'em out there just slamming .now domain entirely. My guess is they feel threatened by them.

I'm thinking they were all pre-occupied with other ventures and missed the boat. Now they're bitter about it.

Anyone knows when unstoppable domains will offer .now again ?

I spoke with Unstoppable. they had an API issue with the reg premium pricing so they had to temporarily pull .now. They are working to rectify the issues and hopefully will get it live again for new regs soon.

On his website it shows as $0 however. Likely a marketing gimmick and not a real sale

I think I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as opposed to calling it fake and a gimmick.

If real, it'd be nice if he posted to NameBio.

Personally, I err on the side of skepticism until I see more proof.

Agreed, as I tend to think tons of sales are fake.

In this case, the guy looks to be very transparent on his site and the auction just closed hours ago.
