I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

Godaddy is well aware of .now and at this point have heard many requests for it to be listed.

They have .sucks extension listed, which one could argue.... really sucks compared to .now.

I'm under the impression that Godaddy does not want .now to be successful. Probably because they don't own it.

GoDaddy is agnostic to TLDs. When TLDs gain traction, they add them. They have quarterly numbers to hit - they can't block all TLDs they don't own. And in fact, list many TLDs they don't own.

I guess I answered my own question: the .com will also die one day, .now too. like everything else, we need to live the present and not worry about the future because it's in God's hands.

Remember all companies gets bankrupt after a while...

There are 2 types of bankruptcies. More common is Chapter 11, which allows the bankrupted entity to reorganize while clearing its debts. It may have to unload certain assets to do so. Chapter 7 is liquidation; however oftentimes the assets have value and are bought by firms (which must be approved by the bankruptcy judge). In the case of a TLD, it is likely to have value to other firms who manage TLDs and they would likely buy these assets and continue to run the TLD, thus providing a seamless experience to the users.

Ultimately, due to the nature of successful gTLDs having inherent value to other TLD registries - it is highly unlikely these assets prove worthless at any time (so long as URLs continue to be used to access web sites). Ai and things like Siri (where you speak) would be more of a future issue to this whole setup than an Amazon bankruptcy imo
