I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

I asked PorkBun to contact the registry re any upcoming promos for .now. Nothing imminent :( But they did say they are "open to the idea"
Hopefully sooner than later. It's only been 3 months so im giving the promotion some time. Until then self promotion on LinkedIn and other platforms.

NordName is now the cheapest registrar for .now, coming in $.20 lower than Dynadot's price for superbulk users ($37.99). I won't switch providers for $.20 - but thought others may like to know.

In other news... someone finally regged Crux.now. Was sitting on my list for a long time. Just never floated to the top. But can't go wrong with a 4L like that imo.

Someone registered Marketing.now.
Keyword "Marketing" is taken in 491 TLDs while "MarketingNow" is taken in 36 TLDs and 455 domains matched according to dotDB.

Optimism also is something that people need,
Hi

being optimistic, in the present.
show more optimism, in the future
but you don't need it all the time, as the situation may call for a different perspective.

imo...

the registry itself calls names like these "premium" and prices them higher
Hi

for clarity:
in my posts, i was referring to what squadhelp accepts as premium, not what the registry deems premium, just so they can charge you more.
.co damn nears sets all their short names that have expired as premium, with higher costs
.xyz and .app both do the same with some of their names.

imo...
You are suggesting only action verbs work
Hi

no, i'm suggesting that action verbs 'fit" better with the extension, when including the ext as part of the phrase or statement.

imo....

I don't disagree. Action verbs fit best with this extension.

It is obvious however, that both Atom and Amazon Registry find other types of names worthy of "premium" status. Atom has history on sales and what buyers are seeking on their platform. While their approval process leaves a lot to be desired, we should not assume it is worthless. Where Atom finds value - there is some value.

From reading your posts, you have been arguing these names do not fit. Perhaps because English is your second language I am misinterpreting your posts. Either way, continuing the conversation gets us nowhere. Ultimately it will be up to the buyers to ascertain what they feel is premium - and what is not. We will have to wait some time before we know the result.

All my Atom premium .now are either Action verbs or Abstract nouns which was my main focus.

I think other types of words and 3L will gain value over time as the extension grows, but those types mentioned seem to work best.

Hi

they, like any other discerning eye in the game, could pick out the obvious names that have potential.
but, when they include the unsellables, then the premise falls apart.

however, i did notice in a previous post by @Velo.me, where they said they would be more selective in the names they approve going forward.

Hi

i've only spoken about a handful names in this thread and was only giving my opinion.
we don't all see the same thing, the same way.

as a buyer, i wouldn't choose some of the names, that i feel don't fit with the extension, regardless to whether they are registry premium or sh premium.

and no, english is not my second language.

imo...

Made my own lander
Hi

nice lander, that looks more like a website!

i did notice a redirect to "t.co" briefly, and that could make some click off.

imo...

Made my own lander using Bolt .new for one of my premium names Homes .now. I do believe that active landers are the way to go when you don't have a price. Full self brokerage.

Look very nice, but none of the features work. I wouldn't put a sign in or search on a sales page that doesn't do anything, nor prices for homes that aren't viewable. That's going to be confusing to the potential buyer.

Thanks for the feedback! I totally get where you're coming from. Right now, it's more of a proof-of-concept visualization than a fully functional site. Think of it as an "active lander" or a template that shows what the website *could* be, but without the features built out yet.

If I move forward with building this, I'd go all-in and make everything functional, taking on the likes of Zillow or homes .com, but for now, it's just a concept to showcase the potential.

I'd like the lander as well, but I'd make clear to visitors with a prominent CTA like "this domain name can be yours today".

Yes, it looks like it's built and not for sale.

Added a disclaimer at the bottom that hopefully helps:

I don't think most people are going to read that (who actually reads disclaimers when visiting a random site?) The purpose of a sales page is to funnel them into a sale. When it gets too complicated it can distract the potential buyer from the original purpose.

While the site looks cool, for the goal of selling it should either:

1) Be a functional website that is also listed for sale. That way the buyer has an additional incentive to purchase, and you can earn money from the site from affiliate programs, Adsense, etc.

2) Display an attractive, clean sales page that focuses on getting the sale and explaining why this would be a good domain to purchase.

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely make a more clear CTA. I think the direction will be a more hybrid approach of the two. A clear CTA with limited functionality of what "could be". I took it a step further than what's on finance .now for example but see how it can cause confusion. Thanks again.
