I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

That's odd as I I checked each one on NameCheap right before I posted the list. I can only guess it was glitch on their part or a typo on mine

I don't see any listed in premium yet, maybe it will only be a select number of exceptional names that get selected at the moment. Maybe when the tld becomes more popular and well known we can expect more been promoted as premium.

Would be nice if we could get afternic to accept the tld. Maybe Amazon should be doing more to push things along ???

Interesting. I would ignore their traffic numbers - they mean nada. Bots and other domainers, not end users.

There are 2 live websites using this combo which means the combo is something others felt fit and are actually using to run their business. Personally, I don't like the combo (not exactly something someone wants) and it doesn't sound right to the ear. Probably because it's pluralized. Although I do own 3-4 plurals myself, they just don't sound/read right. Still, they are sometimes worthy adds I think.

It is early for .now - so perhaps the "expert reviewers" don't know what to do with them or are being too choosy. Clearly this name is better than much of the crapola on Atom and the 2 live websites should've given this name more consideration.

I submitted a few premium so we'll see if I can get them through. They aren't my top names... just ones I thought could use Atom's marketing. I'm unwilling at the moment to give up 25% commission for baller short dictionary action verbs. That'll probably be the case for some years. I also doubt Atom will price them appropriately. So the names I submitted are a great fit for Atom and I'm willing to accept their likely "low" pricing.

I agree we need Afternic and Sedo to allow these to be listed. I reached out to both and was told by Sedo it's in the queue (but not immediately) and Afternic basically gave me the brush off standard response

A huge buying point for me was the fact that Amazon has .Bot. You can buy .Bot at Godaddy and it's accepted at Afternic. Hopefully it's only a matter of time and .now follows suit.

So I transitioned 12 of my names to Atom, but I did the standard listing. There was a $3 marketing exposure option per domain that I selected that promises everything in premium but you stay at 7.5% per sale. Has anybody else used this option.

Does the marketing exposure allow your names to be found in the search results alongside premium? Or is it just retargeting? If retargeting, it's a waste imo. But if it allows us to be found alongside Premium, without premium acceptance, that'd be something worthwhile. Although as I type this it seems obvious that can't be allowed or everyone would be doing it

Well tbh, I wouldn't accept these either (at Atom). These are not action verbs which is likely why Atom opened up premium for .now

I'm not saying these names were unworthy of registering (I own Mover for example). I'm just saying these are not brandables that fit Atom's audience, but rather exact match SEO sort of words.

That's what I figured. In which case you only get retargeting for $3. To be retargeted, one, by definition, had to be targeted in the first place. Since Standard names are buried, this only makes sense for names that get found (which means they'd have to be in uncompetitive categories where not many Premiums appear).
