Ok, but what does .so stand for? I mean besides being the ccTLD of Somalia. I can't think of any "useful" meaning or abbreviation. Maybe Significant Other.

So for software - a kind of lesser known version of io (ironically, the reg or renewal fee of so will probably be less than io in a few years, the way the latter is going)
