NameJet had another good month, reporting nearly $1.3 million of sales over $2,000. Here are some of its more notable sales:
281.com $201,100 – This domain name was used by a company west of Austin. It’s an area code for Houston, but the buyer was (no surprise) in China.
Pug.com $61,000 – What a great, short brand name. Pug.com is worth much more to the right buyer.
Commodore.com $36,989 – A fairly high price for a domain investor. Computing nostalgia is setting in.
FireSafety.com $36,200 – This is a huge business, and a huge price if purchased by an investor.
HealthData.com $29,500 – The U.S. government’s use of HealthData.gov no doubt added to the final auction price.
Alzheimer.net $8,100 – I’m stunned by this price, especially since most people refer to it as Alzheimer’s.
