Not in WHOIS but not available to register?

Hi NP people

I recently looked up a domain that showed up as deleted on expireddomains. It has no WHOIS entry but it is not available when typed into GoDaddy. Any reason for this? Is there just a waiting period before the deleted domain becomes available?

Either its being reserved by some registrar to be listed as "premium" or grapped by dropcatching API, I think, sometimes you'll find available next day(s).
