Consider one-word names which are premium in their respective languages, what value do they have? And Are they normally bought by same language-speaking domainers or are they valued worldwide?

I bought ileride//cm, which means something like "in the future" in Turkish which I thought was pretty cool (and has about 2.5mm google results) but buying non-(your-native-language).com's is a very risky proposition.
I'm not looking for an appraisal about a specific domain. Just talking about non-english words which are not very popular (or are not known at all) in the English-speaking world (it's undoubted that keywords like 'spaghetti', 'mundo', 'noir', etc, have a market at least as the normal English ones). Do English-speaking domainers (who represent the vast majority in domaining) have an interest for this kind of 1-word .com domains?
It not only depends on the word, but the language as well. Spanish is a HUGE market, while Dutch or French for example are much smaller. In domain name values, it is still all about potential traffic and revenue.
