Well it seems there's no more news about .Mobi lately. Even on their official website MTLD.com the last news item dates back to 13 November.
http://pc.mtld.mobi/mobilenet/newsevents.html
After that ...silence. I scan many mobile tech and related websites but there is never any mention of .mobi at all. It's almost like it does not excist. One would hope that .mobi releases more news about what's happening about the development and plans for .Mobi. What are they all up to all day long?
I dont know what to make of it.

Maybe christmas...christmas shopping....

Bear in mind that the really successful Domainers waited a very long time for things to develop.....

Hope I understood your concern

Oh I see.. But I am not talking about the roll-out of .mobi because I agree that will take place over a longer period of time. I am talking about keeping the interest going with newsflashes and updated titbits of relevant news pertaining to .mobi on the official .mobi site. About how things are moving and about what has been achieved so far and how things are shaping up. Stuff like that. Showing that the interest and passion is still going strong.

Don't try to compete with Santa Claus.

Seriously, anything they did now would have little effect. Time for the .mobi people to work their back room contacts toward development of sites and availability of hardware.

And yes, this is about years, not months. Expect some buying opportunities between now and then, as people get bored.

I think now may the best time to buy. If it turns out some very big players get the names in this first round of RFP and think prices will go even higher.

.MOBI has had it's time, it seems they've exhausted their license to print money.

The .mobi hype has died. I suggest you sell all your .mobi names while they are still kinda hot. I walked away $100 richer and happier.

If it wasn't for the namepros discussions of mobi no one would care at all. The mobi train has left the station...those still on the train are headed toward oblivion.

LLL's normally do well in any extension especially when they are all sold out...even 3 char .net's are picking up steam because they are sold out. I have 1 LLL.mobi and I plan to keep it...I also want to sell my other 2 mobi's as I admit they are rather mediocre. I will even sell them cheaply just to ditch them. l33t.mobi n00b.mobi

btw brian....what great news have you heard recently about .mobi...heck what great news was there ever?

NNN.mobis selling for $1000-$2000 was pretty good news. I'll admit there's a risk involved in investing in this TLD, but if it flies, at least I'll be on the plane (in the economy section). I missed my chances in the mid-90s and early 2000s... I won't take the chance to NOT be invested in any major TLD from now on.

As they say... 'there's no such thing as bad advertising' - keep up the good work!

One more thing before I go register tongueincheek.mobi...

'what is best left alone, that accursed thing is not always what least allures.'... captain Ahab
sorry - couldn't resist ...take it or leave it - sort of reminded me of some folks dogged determination to fling the harpoons into poor Mobi - :hehe:

Seriously, you all doth protest too much. The last time I checked, NP had only 1.6 mil posts :kickass: ... I'd venture to guess only about 0.1 % of them are .mobi related... So, What's This? At the very least there is 160..no...1600, ah a whole shitload of other people talking about how fricken stupid .mobi is. Good luck selling that one!

Don't be pissed that whilst you stew about it, those who jumped on are making XXXX's...keep it to yourselves and stop stinking up our happy threads :p
