Moving on from the 3D, Cloud , NFC, Marijuana etc....trends, what do people think will be the next big money maker for the domainer?

I have a few Big Data domains but I like my hand in several dishes so if anyone would like to share their thoughts I'm sure a lot of domainers would appreciate any insights to what's gonna be hot or not.

Cheers

Stu

Thanks capiche!

I think the terms holomessage and holomeeting will appear somewhere in the field of holotechnology sooner or later … :)

What you guys think about biostamps?

The innovators called them like that. Today also known as electronic tattoos.

I own biostamps.com

What do people think about domains related to wearable bionics? I did some research, but it seems that bionics are currently used only to help people recover from injuries, or help make up for amputated limbs.

Do you think we will see wearable bionics used for general "everyday" use anytime soon? I.e. to make physical work easier, for entertainment purposes, maybe related to action sports, and other ways bionics can "augment" people's life.

Do you think bionic domains related to this kind of use will become valuable?

I understand what you want to say. Quantum computers are built with pure silicon28.

Conventional computer – normal silicon and bits
Quantum Computer – silicon28 and qubits

“The difficulty for silicon-based designs is that normal silicon contains quite a lot of atoms that aren't silicon-28. Almost 8% of a commercial silicon wafer is made up of other isotopes like silicon-29, which would cause interference in a quantum chip.”

The differences between normal silicon, silicon28, silicon29, silicon30... are huge. They have totally different physical characteristics. You can’t just say silicon. So, I think...welcome “silicon28” technology!

“Qubits are the quantum replacement for bits - the ones and zeros that represent information inside a conventional computer. They promise to usher in a new era of computing because they can simultaneously encode a one and a zero, enabling incredibly fast and complex calculations.”

This should help. Since August 2014.

Qubit is the way of the future, it will take time though.

It's a hard question to answer to be honest but sometimes it is better to take risk (not gamble) than just stay in the background.

Welcome to NP

There is a whole thread on Wearable tech if you are interested in that niche

Not entirely new tech, but I want to share it since it has not been shared in this thread before (according to search at least).

As I was walking down the street today, I saw someone seemingly "floating" down the street while just standing up straight. I discovered that the person was standing on a one-wheeled Segway-looking thing, and I was surprised to see how well it worked. He went really fast, and made some big turns with ease. It looked like a perfect personal transportation vehicle for shorter distances, especially due to the small size.

Did some searching, and I guess that he was probably riding a Solowheel. The company Airwheel make something similar, as do Rockwheel.

Many of these companies also make two wheeled rides like this one:

Onewheel is a newly released and awesome skateboard like creation. Seems harder to ride for beginners, compared with the other one-wheelers. Their promo video is nice though. Couldn't find any videos with high production value from the other 3 companies I mentioned.

Are these going to become commonplace? Any future in “wheel” domains?

And, will you be getting one of these anytime soon?
