So I have this N-LL.com domain which I hand regged, thought I'm going to use it as a landing page but haven't got a round to it. Today I received an e-mail from a lady that states she's a lawyer but from the sound of it seems more that she's some kind of broker. She writes that she helps VIP clients of a local hosting company to buy names on the domain market.

Further on she states that the buyer offers a price in $10k-15k range but the exact figure will be based on my certified appraisal.

She's also asking me if this is my first sale.

I haven't fully dropped the idea of this being some kind of scam to pay for an appraisal.

What do you guys reckon? What would be next wise move? I haven't sold any domain yet, so she's spot on. Kind of creepy actually, why does she ask this?

Thanks for any valuable advice!

Why are you asking for advice? You know you are not going to pay for the appraisal.

anybody who thinks their newly regged N-LL.com is worth $10K > $15K, needs to have their chain yanked

they ask, if it's your first sale, to know if you're a newbie, so they can hopefully pull the wool over your eyes

imo....
