Newbie Needs advice

OK I am trying to get into this business and make a bit of extra cash
I have bought a few domains in the past but have had no look selling them
I see different domains for sale some that I feel are good selling for below regfee and other i dont like or are similar selling for 1000's

Basically as a newbie I am wondering what domain names are good to invest in
Are short 3 character or 4L domains worth investing in
Should I go with key words and brandable names instead
Or what is hot at the moment

I dont have much to invest at the moment and I am thinking in terms of reseller market in the high $XX to mid $XXX range
but all aspects and advice is welcomed

Keywords or short domains are good to invest in right now, I feel as if the market is jump and you could score big with nothing.

Just try and reg a few names and see if you can resell them, sont start off with high prices unless you know the domain you have its great.

3L.com are bought out and expensive to buy 4L.com is going down but could go back up in the future.

Different extensions are also a price breaker. So test around and see if you can sell. if not park the domains your not trying to sell and see if you can get some revenue off of them.
